mine is either Billy Bigalo or John from Desperados (a very unseen show with GREAT songs and characters)no no no
Ann from Desperados is the best ever character, a maternal ex-prostitute who now cares for the showgirls
The best characters are Eponine from Les Mis and Millie Dillmount from Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Um......Angel from RENT, maybe? That is the first one that popped into my head.

NO NONO
Javert from Miserable, he is brilliant, then kills himself in the best solilique ever
Amneris (Aida)... or Maureen (Rent)... or Cathy (Last 5 Years)... or Queenie (Wild Party)
The Emcee in Cabaret... hands down.

Way too hard.
At least limit it down to individual musicals/plays!
I will agree with QM on this one - Emcee.

i dont think enough people have responded so I am raising the question again
Eponine. Who is unable to relate to her in one way or another?
Also, the Baker's Wife from Into the Woods. She's strong, smart, determined, and yet has weaknesses as well. She's a real person.
Rod (the absolutely adorable lil blue puppet in my icon)

The Witch and Cinderella from Into the Woods. And Emma from Jekyll and Hyde (I'm sort of an ingenue so I lean towards those parts....)
1) Rumpleteeser
2) Mr. Mestopholees
3) Ruth Sherwood
4) Frank Sinatra's Role in "On the Town"

Probably Mark Cohen from Rent, Penny from Hairspray, or Roger Davis from Rent. *can't choose*

Jesus, that's hard. Either Maureen or Mark from RENT, I guess. (I want to act the role of Mark, there's a bit of a problem seeing as I'm female though, haha.)

Rose in Gypsy. Fo' Sho'!
Gypsy was the first musical I ever saw and at six years old I'd sing "Some People" on the kitchen table and demand to be called Rose.
A few favorites... Fanny Brice, Miss Hannigan, Don Quixote/Cervantes, Bloody Mary, Mrs. Lovett, and from a more current show, Max Bialystock:)

Miss Hannigan!! I FORGOT ABOUT HER! ... she doesn't beat out Rose on my list but she's pretty up there too.
No definite favorites, but Henry from the Fantasticks is so gosh darn funny.

It's a tie between Roger DeBris and Carmen Ghia. I think they can count as one, since they're a couple.
