Cast Recordings Before TONY Awards

For orchestrations? Chess isn’t nominated for Best Revival.

THE LOST BOYS Reviews

Has there been any word about a cast recoding? I saw this again on Saturday and am eager to listen to a few of the songs again — the cast is fantastic

BAT BOY (Encores! Cast Recording) Thread

Reddit says the cast was in the studio last week -- I didn't catch any of the photos/posts, but I'm so excited to know this is coming! I loved the NYCC cast and the new songs.

It would be odd to me if they're recording this and still planning for a Broadway transfer (not that I'd complain). Maybe they're going to see how the album is received before making a decision?

SCHMIGADOON! Reviews

I do feel that Tony voters tend to prefer original, emotionally-driven, American-grown shows for Best Musical. However, since we don't have one of those this year (as Schmig, Lost Boys, Titanique, Versailles, & Beaches are all based on some form of pre-existing IP & Two Strangers is a West End transfer), it will be interesting to see what happens. I don't think Schmigadoon deserves it any less than Two Strangers or Lost Boys (in my mind, those are the only 3 rea

It's emotion-fueled, filled with yearning and - the dark story of abandonment - a daring, unapologetic melancholy to enhance the eventual cathartic redemption. And it's got hot young performers who ignite in front of us. People exit feeling stirred. All of the quibbles, and I noted a nitpicky hand

Lost Boys Movie vs. Stage Show

Obviously both are polarizing (even just within the few replies here), but I went into the show blind and then watched the movie after. I would recommend that -- there are a couple of surprises ("twists" may be too strong of a word) that I enjoyed experiencing for the first time in the theater.

The Official TDF Thread

My TDF seats for Titanique last Thursday were mezz row D towards house right. Not bad seats but hope you’ll get closer!

Truly enough changes that I think CoffeeBreak should pretend to see the show again."

What did you think about the song?

Leslie manville on audience behavior ..

pagereynolds said: "I don't care what anyone does in the audience if it doesn't ruin someone else's experience."

My feelings exactly -- taking photos or videos, talking, or audibly eating/drinking during the show is unacceptable and I have no problem respectfully addressing those situations when they arise because I know not everyone was raised in the theater.

If the entire audience was filming the curtain call and the actors were taking their bows

it's music video but the repetitive elevators/scene changes and choices of when and how long flying occurs gets old. (agree, with previous poster, that watching where the

CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL Review - 1 Minute Critic

I got tickets for the first performance post-Tonys — feels like it’s going to be the place to be!

THE LOST BOYS Previews

I went in with little info or expectations — I’d never heard of the movie (my apologies to the legendary Joel Schumacher) and knowing it was about vampires made me less excited. I was so, so pleasantly surprised! I had a great time and will be back post-opening.

Michael Arden is directing the hell out of it and the praise for the set and staging is very earned. It feels like a huge, real Broadway Show, and after seeing weak Beaches earlier this week, I was so

BEACHES Previews

Leapinlizards said: "Vosk put up a story on IG today that they are changing Wind Beneath My Wings. I’m curious to see what they do with it."

I was at the show tonight — Wind Beneath My Wings was just Jessica onstage, I guess it was supposed to be at one of Cee Cee’s concerts based on the gown she was wearing. The piece of stage she was standing on moved her forward a little towards the audience. Near the end, Young & Teen Cee Cee joine

Death Becomes Her - Original Cast Departure Dates

NOWaWarning said: "If we’re throwing out dream replacements, I have many. But I think my number one picks are Renée Elise Goldsberry for Madeline and Leslie Kritzer for Helen."

Renée would be a fabulous Madeline, but I bet if she agreed to do anything, it would be Viola (which would also be fabulous)

MAMMA MIA! Previews

Last night was a blast! It was exactly as expected and the cast had fantastic energy. If you love Mamma Mia!, or if you aren't familiar with it, you'll have a great time. I doubt it will win over any haters, but it's their loss.

Jalynn Steele's Tanya was the highlight for me, and Christine Sherrill made a stellar Broadway debut as Donna.

The set was completely serviceable, even if not super sturdy looking.

Return of Heathers?

I had a fantastic time (after being a fan of the show since the original Off-Broadway production)! There are so many great numbers and the cast is phenomenal. As others have mentioned, McKenzie devours as Heather Chandler. I had to force myself to take my eyes off of her during multiple scenes where she wasn't meant to be the focus. Lorna was fantastic (as expected) and I found her Veronica to be more likeable than in the original production and pro-shot. I w

Report: The Phantom of the Opera May Be Readying an Off-Broadway Return

Banal conversation about the financials aside, I think Phantom is going to translate so well as an immersive production. Imagine the moments -- the title song, Prima Donna, the chandelier fall, Masquerade, the finale. It's going to be so exciting to experience up close!

‘Goddess’ brings Afro-Jazz mythology to life & Amber Iman reigns supreme

Amber was stellar casting, I don't think anyone could have nailed the role the way she did. She looked stunning and sounded incredible.

Hoping this has some kind of life post-closing -- I feel like a cast recording may not be likely at this point, but I'd love to be able to listen to the music again in full. The Nights in Mombasa EP doesn't quite scratch the itch.

REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES To Close June 29, 2025

I'm looking forward to catching it one more time before it closes -- another in a list of shows I adored that the general public didn't know/care about. I'm grateful to have the cast recording at least!

I think that people who didn't enjoy this show are too critical. It handles some heavy themes beautifully, but the tone overall is so joyous.
