It is also available on iTunes for 15 Dollars. Just watched the first 10 minutes. The quality is awesome and the file is about 2.3 GB.
In my heart, I found the answered dream,
and in my soul I found the song, and in my friends
I found the magic, the love,
the moon up above- they were mine, all mine, all along..!
let's hope we'll get the BluRay here in Europe as well.

"The Blue Ray disc has even more Special Features than the regular DVD. Me thinks its time to get a Blue Ray Disc Player- I've been putting it of...."
I personally don't believe Blu-Ray is worth it. Not only are the players and dvds expensive, the benefits are really only noticeable on large screen tvs. The only reason Blu-Ray is doing moderately well is the ingenious inclusion of them on the Playstation.

That's not really true. It depends on how you have it hooked up to the TV. If you are using the old school patch cords to hook it up then you won't notice the difference. If you have an old school tv that isn't HD then you won't see the difference either. If you have an HD TV and hook it up with an HDMI cord, it looks amazing, even on a small tv. That does all cost a lot of money though, and let's face it, no one has a lot of money right now.
As for the subject at hand, I pre-ordered mine on amazon.com, so who knows when it will actually get here.
The Blu-Ray version of RENT is stunning. I have it hooked up to my 50" plasma with 5.1 surround sound using all digital connections. The color, sharpness, and clarity is amazing. You can see the tiny hairs on the backs of cast member's hands, not to mention the picture stays in focus even with quick camera moves! If you already own a 1080p TV, look for a deal on a Blu-Ray player (mine came free with my TV) and get this one on Blu-Ray.
I do have it on my computer (the DVD was leaked via bit torrent a while ago) but I am looking forward to actually having a copy on DVD. I am looking forward to getting it and taking control of the lounge in my dorm with the best tv and just sitting back and enjoying this.
As I said earlier, I am hoping that the FYE in my local college town mall does have it. I am guessing that they won't considering that I am sure that before I came they never even sold one CD from their selection of cast albums. But, they do say that if it isn't in the store and you do want it, then they can get it shipped to the store for you to pick up and buy there. I know FYE isn't the cheapest place to get it but considering that I have a fair amount of store credit there it shouldn't cost me that much extra if anything.
"If you try to shag my husband while I am still alive, I will shove the art of motorcycle maintenance up your rancid little Cu**. That's a good dear"
Tom Stoppard's Rock N Roll
winston, if you do end up going to FYE, just make sure you do the mail in rebate! that will bring the cost down to 12.99!! which, is the cheapest, but a lot of people never end up mailing the rebates
The reason why mine hasn't arrived yet is simply because I placed my order at a quarter after 2 this morning. By all accounts, orders placed previously will be shipped-out quicker. Makes the most sense. You guys enjoy!

This is not true at all and was only relevant when the PS3 was first released.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Does anyone know if K-mart is selling it? That's the only place I can really get to today. I checked Rite Aid but of course they didn't have it. I hope to get it today, I am really wanting to see the special features.

Nope. Market share is hovering around 12%. Blu-Ray won't be the dominant format until players are cheaper...and there doesn't seem to be any rush to do that. And MOST people do not have 50" HD TVs, so video-quality is not really going to be relevant to them. The fact that blu-ray players were on Christmas lists shows that people don't really want to buy them themselves. The cheapest ones are still over $300.00. Blu-ray discs are $29.00 when on sale, which is the retail price of a regular dvd. So I stand by my statement. While blu-ray player sales are up, if they hadn't been included in the Playstation 3 then they would most likely be stganant.
Hey New Yorkers... Both Virgin Megastores only have BluRay. All the best buys are sold out The Theater Shops are all sold out of it, or they never got any. I'll be damned if I go to Colony and pay 50.00 for it or whatever they mark it up to.
