Aw that's pretty sad. It was a really fun show, I had a great time!

Didn't the cast just renew their contracts until the fall a few days ago? Is that normal before a closing is announced, or was it just to make sure they didn't leave before it closes?

It had a good run, but really? I thought it was doing relatively well.
I have to see it now.

I bet they announced the contract extensions through the summer to see how much they could generate in advance sales for July and August. It might not have been enough.

There go the dreams of John Stamos, who was hoping to replace DHP.

I thought the show was close to recouping... hm.
Hopefully I'll be able to see it again because the first time I saw it it wasn't my favorite.

Godspell at the Beck? (I mean hirschfeld!)
I wonder. I would think they would want somewhere more intimate.
I could be wrong though

Other than that, did you enjoy the play Mrs Lincoln?

Godspell will want a smaller house.
This is just speculation, but I bet 9 to 5 ends up here...

I've heard Godspell wants a Hirschfeld- sized house...

Do they sell standing room when the show isn't sold out?

I would pee myself if 9 to 5 went to the Hirschfeld. Allison Janney in the house where I always end up working, every night - heaven.
Godspell should have gone to Circle in the Square. I hope it's not coming to the Hirschfeld. I'm going to miss Curtains so much
CyCo, no, they don't.

It's sad to hear that it's closing. Curtains was actually my first Broadway show. I'll be back in New York next week and might try to catch it again.
Has there been any word on a tour? I would think it's been enough of a hit to deserve one.

Oh, sadness!
What a great show...I do hope, like the article says...that they go out with a bang!
I'm thrilled that so much of the original cast stayed with the show this long...
and that I had the distinct pleasure of seeing it twice.

I agree in thinking that 9 TO 5 will go to the Hirschfeld.
