FAT CAMP headed to broadway? Jul 8 2011, 11:13:09 AM
I'm from Cleveland and yes Fat Camp is trying to head to broadway. The show starts previews here in Cleveland at the Hanna Theatre July 13th. It's part of Playhouse Square's page to stage program where they invite artists to try their shows out and get feedback from audience and participating members to make the show better before it leaves essentially. www.playhousesquare.org has more info!

The TONYS on Fashion Police Jun 18 2011, 08:28:51 AM
IMO theatre people really aren't known for being too fashionable on the red carpet. Yes opening night is amazing and such, but this isn't the movies where these people can afford gowns and outfits that cost a fortune. Theatre actors really in some senses are just normal people with insane talent that unfortunately gets overlooked by Hollywood alot of the time. Alot of the people I saw at the tony's didn't look that good to me the only one who did it for me was Nina Arianda

Beacon Theatre Tony Awards Jun 18 2011, 08:24:19 AM
Am I the only one who actually liked the Tony Awards at the Beacon Theatre more? I thought they did a superb job with the set design this year and it didn't looked to cluttered or cheesy. I love Radio City Music Hall, but I've always hated how they designed the stage when it comes to the show...IMO it looked a little tacky. I love the inside of the Beacon and really thought the show from a visual stand point looked very very polished and chic!

Which tour cities are A, B, or C? And what makes them that? May 15 2011, 10:51:43 PM
Cleveland is a huge tour city! We have the second largest performing arts center in the country next to the Lincoln Center. Playhouse square has about 9 theaters and the VP of theatricals Gina Vernaci here in Cleveland is a Tony voter. So she gets to come to New York and pick the shows she wants to bring to Cleveland. Our season is ending this year I believe with Next to Normal, and then next years season we get Million Dollar Quartet, La Cage, Hair, Memphis, Addams Family, Come Fly Away, and So

Is it just me? May 5 2011, 05:02:15 PM
Much Kudos and props to Sister Act and Patina Miller? However am I the only one who really isn't all that impressed with her voice? I mean girl can sing no question otherwise she wouldn't be in the role. I know she did it in London for two years, but every time I hear her sing she just doesn't do it for me and she sounds like she strains ALOT.

9 to 5 Tour Review - Dayton, OH 2/6/11 (2pm) Feb 7 2011, 03:23:13 PM
I saw this show as well here in Dayton at the Friday 2/4/11 show! My friends and I sat in the second row and had a good time. If you like serious theatre with alot of substance this is not the show for you. If you just want a good time with an energetic cast and just have lots of fun you will love this show! First off the only beef I had was the sets...you could tell they REALLY scaled down the show and the sets did look rather cheap. Putting that aside the cast was exceptional! The ensemble was

Shrek National Tour Review - January 9, 2011 Jan 10 2011, 03:38:18 AM
THANK YOU for this review! I'm seeing the tour in Cleveland March 4th and i'm soooo ecstatic to see it! You mention the set changes which I knew there would be some...but does the show still maintain that spectacle aspect? Also random question how was the rat tap?

My Sky-SJB Jan 5 2011, 03:54:50 AM
Does anyone know what show the song "My Sky" is from. I heard Stephanie J. Block sing it on Broadway Bullet and I love it, but can't find it anywhere!

So from all the help on here i for certain want to see Catch Me If You Can, and Wonderland which are both coming to Broadway this spring. My spring break is the last week in March which is when the shows are in previews. Is it better to wait to see the finished product in late April?

Broadway Shows Worth Seeing-Legit Dec 31 2010, 07:28:39 PM
I've only ever seen Wicked and Lion King on Broadway. I've really wanted to see 39 steps, but typically i'd like to see more musicals.

Broadway Shows Worth Seeing-Legit Dec 31 2010, 07:22:10 PM

Teal Wicks is Broadway's Next Elphaba; Kyle Dean Massey to Return as Fiyero Dec 21 2010, 02:07:11 PM
I think they should have gone with Donna Vivino...just my opinion. Teal has a great voice, but uses it incorrectly ALOT. She's only going to further damage her voice by doing this show...again my opinion.

re: Will they record Pal Joey? Dec 19 2008, 07:59:21 AM
The show probably won't stay open long enough for them to have a recording.

why do people feel the need to make the cast a scrapbook? Dec 19 2008, 07:51:47 AM
Why do people post the most pointless threads on here? That is something I don't understand.
