I would love to see you use to search bar, but you're merely a naive Swing, so I'll forgive you!

What does that even mean?
Don't worry, Jacob. Just a heads up, that a lot of folks on this board get PMSy when it comes to having multiple threads about something. The search feature on the top of the page (which sometimes does not work too well), should bring you other threads that revolves around what you want to talk about.
Welcome to the board!
Oh, and to answer you question . . . "Pleasantville"
Can I get a "GoodFellas" musical?? Featuring the hit opening number "Gettin' Whacked" and the touching solo number "Honey, Why'd You Flush the Crack Down the Toilet?"

Thank you, I'm sorry that guy is just so fed with his life being consumed by a message board that he has to be bitter...thanks for YOUR help
Dude, he's an understudy...don't worry about him. Poser.
Animal Farm.
Moulin Rouge.
Hercules.
Prince of Egypt.
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

Welcome to the board! Personally, I think there should be at least a five year moratorium on movies being turned into broadway musicals. How about producing something new for a change?

I think How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is a bad idea and would make a horrible broadway show
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days should just stay a movie. I kind of would love to see Wedding Planner, but I doubt that would happen.

STOP THE INSANITY ALREADY! NO MORE MOVIES ON BROADWAY!
Light in the Piazza was a movie. Did you like it???
I agree that original shows should have first priority on Broadway.
But with that being said, I would love to see "A Star Is Born" on stage. This would be of the Judy Garland version, OF COURSE.
Hudsucker Proxy.
But with a new title. Perhaps they could call it How to Try in Business Without Really Succeeding.

"Light in the Piazza" was a book published in 1960 and written by Elizabeth Spencer before it was a movie so it does not count.
Future Broadway MovieMusicals.
Seven
Psycho
Friday the 13th (any and all chapters)
Assault on Precint 13
The Sixth Sense
Halloween (any and all chapters starting with "Season of the Witch" where the masks explode. That would make a great musical number)
All of the above would "star" a game show contestant and maybe a so-called "singer" like one of the Simpson sisters or Paris or William Hung (he covers both categories as he was a "singer" famous for being rejected by a game show).

"Heaven Can Wait (the 1978 version)and "Working Girl". I'd also say "Moonstruck" but they'd never be able to come close to the film.

Eve's Bayou
Enchanted April
I know it failed as a play (though I loved it), but I think it would make a beautiful musical.
"Wings of Desire" aka "City of Angels".

I'll give the same answer to this thread that I gave to the other thread:
Hitch
with Wayne Brady in the will Smith Role and Jennifer Lopez in the Eva Mendez role. (And ME in the Kevin James role...hey it's my fantasy!)
Spider, were you applauding me or the fact that javajunkie left this thread??

jimnysf, some of your favorite shows include Hairspray and Saturday Night Fever which were both movies. I honestly don't think turning movies into musicals is a bad idea! Because some of them turn out very good and some movie plots make excellent musicals.
