that's an, um, interesting concept...
this is in California?
How do you get the free tickets? When I was looking to get tickets, it only said $10 (either way, count me in)
You need to click on the space where you can choose between regular tickets and free tickets. The free ticket option will show up.
Nothing is ever free. There's a service charge.
I still don't see it. It only says it's for 10 dollars plus service charge. any help?
Just above where it says "Buy Tickets," click and instead of seeing General Admittance, you'll see Promotional Special. Still 7 or 8 left for all three performances! I can't believe no one else has ordered since I got mine. Usually the free tix disappear within a few hours.
I figured out that only opening weekend has free tickets.
nooo that means I can't go...*sigh*
But even the rest of the run you'll save about money by buying through Gold Star rather than the regular ticket agency. Tickets regularly $22 if you reserve from the Ann E. Wrecksick website, and $13.50 from Gold Star. Not bad. Of course $5/ticket for the opening weekend is even better.
Whee, I'm going!
when are you going, Shira? No more free ones for opening night! I'll play it by ear, it does sound interesting...
That subject matter depresses me. Following BARE with...that! I think I'm gonna be sick...
they charge a $5 service charge for any ticket people, even free ones....Somehow I do not find $10 for two people to see a play expensive..........there is no such thing as a free lunch.
If you want totally free, act out your own musical......
Gold Star Events exists because of its service charges, which I don't mind paying because the ticket is already discounted 50%. On the other hand, you order a FULL price ticket from Ticketmaster and the cost can increase over $10 because of service charges. I looked into buying a ticket at Sacramento Music Circus and a $44 dollar ticket would have cost me $58 after the service charges. I really don't think anyone can complain about getting a seat which would normally sell for $22 online for $5. The theater makes no money on the transaction, so it is a free ticket as far as they are concerned. If someone cannot afford $5 to see a play, I recommend broadcast TV.

I signed up for GoldStar. I can't believe I never knew that service existed! There are still free tickets, but I am going to other shows (Wicked) on the 23rd. So, I had to pass.
Shocking, Mouse Info. I've been trumpeting Gold Star for the past nine plus months on this site, and there's a link to Gold Star and LA Stage Tix at the bottom of my website Musicals Coming to Los Angeles and Surrounding Areas, which is found after each of my posts.
Popular, as of 5:45 today (Wednesday) there are still 4 more free tix available.
I'm going opening night, and I'm SO EXCITED!
eslgr8...just an FYI for another time maybe...to save a bit on Music Circus tickets, call the box office directly. Service fee isn't as high as buying online.
Casita Del campo.. which is the reastaurant where this venue is at is really good, real cheap Mexican food. Have a pitcher of Margaritas before or after the show. honey. you will have a blast. Sorry I can't make it. That weekend is filled.
