Ok, to lighten up things here today, I have a little present for certain kind of sickos (like myself).
Ya see, later today, Scott and I are doing an interview for a new TV series "MOVIES THAT SHOOK THE WORLD" with this particular episode being about John Waters' "PINK FLAMINGOS".
so, I unearthed the rehearsal tape I made for a tribute to John Waters that Tracy Ullman and I were asked to perform at last year in L.A. Scott and I chose the greatest moments of dialogue from John's masterpieces, and I set them to musical comedy music. For your enjoyment, I supply now a link to my rehearsal tape.
WARNING:
lesser warning: This is all me singing on this, with my voice put into the female range by the computer, which also makes me sound like a robot
MUCH BIGGER WARNING: This is FILTHY. Sometimes also sophmoric, but ALWAYS FILTHY, FILTHY, FILTHY. Do NOT listen to at work or EVER in front of children, as a matter of fact Rob & Craig, if this does not belong on your site due to language and theme, feel free to delete it
Can't wait to hear it, but I think I'll wait till I get home from work. From your description, it'd probably not something that should be heard coming from my office.

Marc- Sheer Brillance. Just the perfect thing I needed as I break from reading "Shock Value" You captured the essance of all of Edith Massey's roles, nnot to mention Taffys rant in Female Trouble.... okay and then we get to Desperate Living- perhaps one of my favorite John Waters films... these must be put on stage immediately....the only thing I managed to miss out on was the "Where's my baby" "Chill lady, we're trippin.." That really needs to go in there.... :) However Minks rant at the begining is perfect. Marc you are my hero!

But, my A#1 ALL TIME NASTY FAVORITE of yours is 'In The Butt'.
I'm thinking of using it for my next audition. I'm SURE to get Uncle Max in 'Sound of Music' at the local community theatre with that one!

as a fan of John Waters since I was like..two..yes, sick, isn't it? I have grown up to be twisted, quirky..and usually bring that to my songwriting/performing skills as well. I was very upset when Hairspray was going to become a broadway show..i thought it was sacrilege. but I feel the only one to have done it justice..would be ME!!! and well, it's nice to know there are other people out there in the world who have a brilliantly disgusting and misplaced view on life...I am glad I am not alone. I watched Pink Flamingos about 17 times after the first viewing...now I still perform and do my thing..but I also teach theatre to my students. when they graduate at year's end...I treat them to Pink Flamingos. it a 'commencement' gift if you will. I love your work...i LOVED Marci X better.....but hey...I also feel you should include the Divine/Crackers-mother/son love scene in the living room...lick my balls mama...yeah yeah.
WHERE is this school where you can get away with showing PINK FLAMINGOS to students?!?! Are the students in their 30's?? What is it you are teaching them?? Can't I give the commencment address??
Stupidly, I chose to ignore the warnings and listened to this on my family's shared computer instead of my own laptop. It was hilarious and I loved it (I've been a John Waters fan since age 10). However, I had to spend the next 5 minutes searching through my computer trying to find the file to delete it, because I knew that if it were to pop up again, it would definitely be my dad that would discover it and that would require a lot of explaining.
