His soul is a woman but he has a penis so he's a man. That's just the definition. There is no arguing that. When he gets a vagina then he will be a woman

My partner also cannot grasp the concept that just because someone has a penis does not mean they are a man.

Caitlyn has been taking hormones and the like to transition to female, and she is technically female now.  Similarly, Chazz Bono took the necessary hormones and the like to transition to male, and Chazz is technically male now (even though he still has a vagina).  By placing your decision to call someone male or female solely on anatomy is (I believe to be) incorrect.

We are all learning so much about this process from this show, and I truly find it fascinating.

If your definition of man is "someone who has a penis"  and woman is "someone who has a vagina" then I think you need to alter the way you define men and women because that is clearly not accurate.

I agree with the point Reginald makes, but in Spencer West's case, I think he is without legs, up to his torso. I would assume his junk is intact, but don't know for sure. He climbed Kilamanjaro!

You are mixing sex and gender. Gender is a societal creation. A person's anatomy determines sex. A person's brain determines gender.
