I mean come on.
the songs are embarassing and completely unenjoyable (except for the one where michelle sings about wanting a guy with a bike).
Its possibly the cheapest looking movie ive watched in a long time.
the acting is muggy.
seriously how the **** do you go from the glorious campy good time that was Grease to this tragically misguided cluster****?

Total guilty pleasure for me. I don't really like the movie as a whole, but I LOVE the songs.
To answer your question, though . . . it seemed like they cared more about cashing in on Grease's fame than actually making a good movie musical.

Posted: 11/14/07 at 7:50amI LOVE this movie. I even own it. I bought Grease 2, but I never bought Grease. That's how much I love watching it. It's awesome in the same way that Showgirls is. And Skidoo.

I love me some Grease 2, still own the LP, have a poster and the 2 set of lobby cards ( one still in the plastic ).
While i love Grease, i have never owned it or the CD.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Grease 2 sucks. And it isn't unintentionally sucky enough to be "Show Girls" or "Valley of the Dolls."
It just sucks.

How long does it take to acquire it? I saw it opening day, first run in the theatre.

Any movie that has Michelle Pfeiffer straddling a ladder in hot pants can't be all bad....or can it?
Did Maxwell Caulfield take his shirt off in this? I can't remember. I just remember that the choreography was REAAL happy with the full-body spins!

Michelle's singing, dancing and ladder work is pure genius.
My best ballet friends (in Chicago) and I know every step of the COOL RIDER dance and we used dance it often to amuse ourselves on breaks. (We also loved doing the Parker Posey leap catch from Guffman. We did it constantly in the backround but not one attempt made it into the Altman film.)
And - Lorna Luft is heaven.
