I was shocked at Fran's comment about John too. Kind of harsh and extremely unnecessary and inappropriate.
Performances didn't do it for me. The only one I thoroughly enjoyed was The Drowsy Chaperone's with Beth, Bob, and Sutton. Even Sweeney left me wanting more.
Has anyone noticed Marc's extremely off pitch vibratto? That bothers me.
She was saying how he's cute, and she wants him for herself. It had nothing to do with being gay. She didn't say "I am shocked that he has a girlfriend", she said something more to the effect of "I'm still getting over the fact that he has a girlfriend."
It's not always about the gays, guys!

Yea, I thought Fran was commennting on how she found him attractice and was upset he had a girlfriend...??
Anyways it was so badly edited and the only performance I understood in the least was Jersey Boys. The one from Grey Gardens was completely mind boggling for me.
I didn't understand the reason to edit everything out of order either.
And they cut most of Harvey's jokes.
Though it was funny they sometimes had an announcer say the nominees--especially for Fran Drescher.

The reason for the editing: The sound board broke and the show had to go on. It is a shame, but life sucks to quote from one of my favorite shows. Beth Leavel is an absolute pro. I really admire her! In addition Fran and a few other celebs made major boo boo's. They needed to bring in the announcer to fix the errors. As we know everything in life is only for now. Updated On: 5/29/06 at 06:41 PM
Beth Leavel's performance was just brilliant. I saw one of the first previews, and most of that show was not retained in my memory - but now, from watching her again, I need to go back. She's fantastic.

munk, that's the same reaction I had when I saw her performance. I've gota see it again! I'm going to hold out for a lottery win this time so I can be close to the action. Watching her characterizations up close on camera was totally different and better than the two times I saw the show from the rear of the balcony and orcherstra. I'm trying the lottery tommorrow!
Right I understood the reason for the announcing overdoing boo-boos. I realized the presenters missed a few names here and there.
