icecreambenjamin, when did your friend see the show? Smith was on last week. Harcourt is on this week (and was last night).
They saw it last week.
I wasn't thrilled with Austin Smith as Burr when I caught the show twice last week. One time made me wonder. The second time confirmed it. Wish I had tickets for two separate weeks to see Sydney Harcourt instead.

File this under ridiculously late to the party. Haven't seen the show yet but have only recently been listening to the ocr. And can't stop.
It's all been said before, but what a masterpiece of a score. I am totally obsessed with these characters, narrative structure and Miranda's astonishing vision, poetry, melodies and rhythms.
Favorites: What Did I Miss?, Helpless, The Story of Tonight, History Has Its Eyes on You.... oh hell all of them! There is not a single number that's less than superbly crafted.
And It's Quiet Uptown may be the most heartbreaking and eloquent theatre song ever written. And one of the very best.

Wait for It is simply amazing! And Yorktown/The World Turned Upside Down. I could watch the Yorktown performance every day!

I saw the show for the first time on Tuesday evening July 12. Lexi Lawson did perform that night. I thought she was lovely, one of the highlights of the show (which admittedly has many highlights). I don't think I have ever had a theatre experience quite like this one. My expectations were astronomically high, probably to the point of being unfairly high. Yet the show delivered. Like many of you I can't stop thinking about it two weeks later and that will probably continue for some time. I've become a bit obsessed. I deliberately had not read this thread before seeing the show, but now I'm making my way through all 40+ pages of it. I had heard the recording several times going in and I've been reading Chernow's bio for a month. And I've now begun reading Hamilton the Revolution. What an amazing piece of theatre.

One of the most ridiculous statements ever.
Also not sure if anybody has brought this up yet (and I'm not scrolling back to track it down right now), but I don't believe Jevon McFerrin is the next permanent Lafayette/Jefferson. I think he's joining the ensemble (see comments).

Lexi's still not back, despite Ethan's claim she's better.

Also he may be a new standby rather than ensemble, judging from that instagram.
Lexi posted on her snapchat story today (@leonidasalexe) about hers and Jasmine's photo shoot for Vogue earlier today. It's amusing that she has only performed the part twice since starting and is doing interviews/photoshoots as the full-time Eliza. Obviously nothing mean-hearted towards her current health, just amusing.

Anyone know when and/or why Roddy took over the Seabury role?

On Snapchat Carleigh said she went on tonight as a last minute thing and Lexi tweeted about Rory's performance so she was at the theatre. Seems like she was going to go on but then didn't at the last minute.

Alysha was on for Peggy/Maria tonight, hence why Carleigh would be on for Eliza instead of her. So it could be what you said, or Jasmine Cephas Jones could have bowed out of the show at the last minute as well.

Maybe vacation? I noticed Sasha Hutchings wasn't in the show last week either day I went. I love seeing her big hair on stage! With her not there and Daveed gone, no big hair nowhere!

Luwoye's debut is officially set for August 8, per Twitter.
If anybody's going today, please report if Lexi is back yet...

He is on vacation, according to Gregory Haney's snapchat. And Sasha Hutchings not being there explains why Alysha is on for Peggy/Maria and Carleigh has been on for Eliza, as she's the only other Peggy/Maria understudy.

Elizabeth Judd also understudies Peggy/Maria; she understudies all the sisters, actually, which I find curious that she hasn't gone on as Eliza while Lexi's been out.
Keep in mind that Elizabeth Judd is in the track that was originated by Emmy Raver-Lampman. She too covered all the Schuyler sisters and I believe she was a sister a grand total of once. Judd is the third cover for Eliza and Peggy/Mariah and second cover (I think) for Angelica.

You're right! I totally forgot since she has never actually gone on as any of the sisters yet. I think they just go down the list in order, so she would only go on as Eliza if both Alysha and Carleigh were unavailable.
