When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Posted: 5/11/11 at 4:51pmLet us just take a minute to remember that sometimes the annointed "supervising directors" of these creators' estates are WAY more militant than the actual artists were when alive - just try getting past the individuals calling the shots on behalf of the estates of Michael Bennett, Alan Jay Lerner, James Goldman etc.
