The French call it nostalgie de la soupe.

"Eating out it is Panera."

Must be nice to be made of money.

Panera is upscale? I thought it was a bakery with some tables and chairs.

No!  You place an order and they give you a vibrator.  It's the Eyes Wide Shut of comfort food.

Uh oh! Campell Soups rethinks its recipe!

After Eight said: "Well, that's how it appears today. With every chef nowadays needing to add his own "take" to recipes in no need of fixing, and thereby rendering them inedible, there's nothing but good old tried-and-true Campbell's to rely on. Who woulda thunk it?"

If you start having the same opinion across the board for everything, that can't be a good sign.

No thanks, no canned soup for me. I either make my own or buy Gourmet Garage's.

It will not help. Any soup you have to add water to kinda defeats the purpose.

I mention the water as that is how long ago I had it. I know they have non condensed soup now but their sodium levels are off the charts. I look at labels . As a result, my doctor took  me off one of the 2 meds I was taking for it. Retiring will also do wonders for reducing your blood pressure. Maybe he can get me off the other.

It's hard when you respond to posts of mine you don't read.  I was congratulating you on making changes that were significant enough that you were able to go off meds.

I miss this one.   Came out in the early 90s, but was discontinued sometime during the second Clinton administration.  It really had a wonderfully rich, creamy flavor that I haven't experienced in any other corn-based soup/chowder.

Making soup is so easy, fun and creative.  You can make it just what you want it to be and I can't imagine eating it out of a tin can.
