I wish I felt the same way...As a Judy Garland fan since I was 6, I felt so depressed after I saw that show...

Close friends of Judy are loving it and come out very happy.

For me, it's a threeway race between Cynthia Lavin-Channing for her amazing performance in Other Desert Rainbows, Trina Bennerianda for her triumph in End of my Wits, or Stockard Nixon for her tour de force as Judy in Furs.

Gotta say the performance and show depressed me too.
Rather watch Tommy Femia do Judy at Don't tell Mama's
Tracy Bennett- high energy--interesting=- but doesn't quite nail Judy.

Lavin or Channing get my vote.

Wit was even more depressing.

"Close friends of Judy are loving it and come out very happy."

One picture of Tony Bennett does not prove that point.

At all.

There's plenty of just plain queens who hate it too.

I don't believe Barry Manilow was close friends with Judy Garland. But I know whatever anyone says that isn't in accordance with your thoughts will just be slagged off.

Sometimes you sound more like her press agent than her mother.

Did you ever think of takin' up strippin'?

I loved Benedict Cumberbatch's work in The Clock.

That's where he and Judy first met, no?

Alec and Benedict were both very close friends of Judy's, so I concede your point, hermaj.

And I wouldn't trumpet Barry Manilow's endorsement.

He backs Ron Paul for president.

Yeah, I figured you'd pop up, too. You post on this board over and over and over about one show--ONE SHOW--and we're the ones who only spend time here?

And when you said "close friends of Judy," what you actually meant was "random celebrities," correct?

For for those of you that don't believe Judy was a drinker and worn out at the end, this video just proves how Judy was near the end of her life. She recorded it in the privacy of her home in London during the time she Was at The Talk Of The Town.
Don't listen to it if you get upset. It has just ruined my day listening. How they can find it amusing I have no idea. Yes, it is Judy so don't keep being in denial. This video is 3/3 there are two others....1/3 and 2/3

Anytime I disagree with Barry Manilow about anything, I fear that I've fallen into a quagmire of bitterness and envy.

Barry is closer friends with Lorna than he is to Liza.

But he's still never met her.

So, you only have three people, from what I can tell, who know her, and have seen the show, and... what... posed for a picture afterwards?

That's not an endorsment of the show on any level.
