Lightening doesn't strike twice. Ask Mel Brooks.

Does this mean Tom still has to audition?

Will there be trampoline/Cirque Du Soleil inspired couch jumping choreography?

It never struck once. THE PRODUCERS musical was is and will always be overrated and painfully unfunny.

In my opinion, of course.

It won 12 out of 15 tony awards it was nominated for. It clearly struck.

They should take their time. MOTOWN will run a few years and then they can park in the Lunt-Fontanne right after that ends. Marketing gold.

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

What are you basing your prediction that MOTOWN will only last a few years on?

Sheer, optimistic hope that the Scientology musical can play next to the Scientology church, of course.

Lightning strikes for Parker and Stone with regularity, so we'll see. I do wish they'd tackle a topic they haven't already eviscerated on South Park several times.

Like what? Is there anything they haven't tackled on SOUTH PARK?

No idea. But their Scientology episodes were particularly dramatic.

I think they need to choose between south park and making musicals. The south park episodes have greatly suffered this season. I don't think it's a great idea to take on another musical so early. Let Book of mormon die and then come back in 10-15 years with a raunchy musical.

"Lightening doesn't strike twice. Ask Mel Brooks."

Exactly, and I hope you're right. The Producers, if anything, has proven to be painful without comedians in the lead roles. And Young Frankenstein was a mess.

These libertarian @sshats are getting big heads because their overrated one-joke farce is a hot ticket. I hope they push millions into this show and it flops and they run away back to Colorado where they can continue to make fun of everyone who's not them.
