I know it sounds dumb but I'm just hoping there's a third season because as dumb as it can be sometimes I love this show and really don't want it to leave.
I can't imagine a scenario where it will be renewed. They're just burning off the last few episodes as it is.

its not looking good for Season 3 but I really hope there is one!
For all its faults I still love it!
Honestly, the way this season has been going, I hope not. The show has turned into absolute dreck.
Well... Tragically, a season three seems very unlikely. Still everyone should send their emails and letters to NBC. One can never lose hope, after all, the sun will come up tomorrow!!

I dunno, I don't personally find the idea of God ridiculous... but I do find the idea of God liking Smash fairly ridiculous.
I hope Westboro doesn't picket Kyle's funeral.

And think about God. You know, it was nice to believe in God, and an afterlife; and I’m sometimes envious of the people who seems comfortable because they still have this belief. But I remember when everybody won Tonys for Dreamgirls, and they all got up there thanking God for letting them win this award, and I was thinking to myself: God is silent on the Holocaust, but He involves himself in the Tony awards? - Laughing Wild
He wanted Indiana Menses to beat Tonya Pinkins.
Praying works too, but remember even a miracle needs a hand.
If losing a tv show is deemed TRAGIC, life is just waiting to *itchslap you around.
And I'm pretty sure that god is a little busy with, oh, I don't know, IMPORTANT THINGS.
Exactly. Like rappers winning Grammy awards.

Well I am glad this thread was started since nobody has even raised the issue of season 3 anywhere else on this board.
It's an important issue. Chris Matthews spent the whole hour on it today.
I think the move to Saturday night pretty much answered that question. As much as I have been disappointed with it, I now record it and watch it just for a laugh. The dialogue as well as most of the acting has become almost comical. Aside from Megan Hilty and Christian Borle, the rest of the cast is almost unwatchable.

Some people have suggested it's about shifting the day and time slot too much.

They said they were thinking of replacing the show's creator but I am unsure if anything ever came of that. Maybe for season 3?

Not on NBC...I guess some smaller network could pick it up.
If they just got Debra Messing's wardrobe right, they'd be a hit for sure.
Late bloomers!!!
