Saw Kyle Taylor Parker tonight in Boston. PHEMONENAL. His charisma is off the charts. He has the magic. I'm generally one of those people who loves and pays special attention to the ensemble in every show but tonight I wasn't able to appreciate them because I could not take my eyes off KTP.
He certainly deserves Bway (he's done Lola there, briefly) if anyone does. Though I do like the fact that he's doing the tour -- I'd never have seen him otherwise!
Wayne Brady. Hmm. Well, I'll be curious to hear from people who see him.
I wouldn't be surprised if Brady's only with the show for 3 months(Nov. 21 - Feb. 21). The new season of Whose Line Is It Anyway? is set to start taping in March.

Mr. Nowack, have you forgotten where you are??? OF COURSE they will judge him on photos.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Kyle Taylor Parker was great in Boston. He knew how to act, he sang his heart out in hold me in your heart, he danced great in everybody say yeah, and just owned the role. From what people are saying about brady, it does not seem that he can do all of those.
I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.

Considering no one here has actually reported that they have seen him perform this role, there is no basis for judgement. Period.
I don't know if he's well cast or not, and can't KNOW until I see his performance.

Brady wanted to do the role. Porter's leaving and the producers thought it would be wise to bring in Brady for the holidays & the slower winter season. Based on his scheduled absences & when the new season of "Whose Line" is scheduled to start taping, Brady's likely with KINKY BOOTS through the end of March/early April.
