What are some theatres that have not had hits, critical/$ or both in years? The Broadway and Lyric come to mind

I don't know if they recouped or not, but Cinderella and Sister act both had considerable runs, and they both played at the Broadway.

The Neil Simon has had a string of flops, with the exception of All The Way. Kind of ironic that it's predominately a musical house, and yet the one show from the last several years that was successful was a play.

The Broadway, Neil Simon and Longacre are the three that come to mind.

Jury is out on the Broadway. Fiddler may break the curse

The Mark Hellinger. It's a church for Christ's sake.

Indeed. Used to be someplace holy and now just a freaking church.

The Lyric and the Broadway are just. Too. Big.

I would love to see a show in the Mark Hellinger, I can't believe that the the Shuberts or Nederlanders won't buy/haven't bought theatre back. I heard that Cameron Mackintosh once tried to buy it. What about the Ambassador Theatre Group? I'm sure they would love to add another theatre into their portfolio along with the Lyric and Hudson

On The Town was a critical hit.

Maybe the church will not sell it back to any of them. Believe me any of the theater owners want it even though it is off the beaten track. It is one of the more gorgeous houses.

The church said they like the space and if they found a nicer/bigger space, they would consider moving. why don't they "make them an offer they won't refuse"

Blame Nederlander, for flogging it, to fill their pockets.

Lunt Fontanne hasn't originated a hit since The Sound of Music.

Harvey didn't buy out the Lunt-Fontanne. He wanted the St. James to my recollection, and when that didn't pan out he took what he got. The Lunt-Fontanne is a pretty perfect house for Neverland after all, though.

Doesn't  Finding Neverland count as a hit for the Lunt- Fontanne, at least so far ?
