In no particular order since it depends on the day...
Little Shop of Horrors Once On This Island Les Miserables A Chorus Line City of Angels
Honorable mentions: Ruthless, Pippin, Book of Mormon, and [title of show]. And Dear Evan Hansen, if I'm being honest. Really can't stop thinking about it.
It will (hopefully) change overtime but for now I'd say it is -
Fun Home Hello, Dolly! Into The Woods Follies Hairspray
Hon'ble mentions - Evita, Hamilton, A Chorus Line, Company.
The strange thing is, apart from Hello, Dolly! & Hairspray, most (all?) of these shows are very easy to mess up so I have loved productions more than show themselves. Dolly and Hairspray have razor-sharp wit hiding behind the beauty that is musical theater comedy which results in a really forgiving material much like a banana bread recipe.
Caption: Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.
Honorable Mentions: Sunday in the Park with George, Falsettos, Caroline, or Change, Ragtime, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Gypsy, A Little Night Music, Passion
2. Tanz der Vampire (I'm forever upset over how they butchered their chance at a great Broadway production. Now we'll likely never get an actual English-language cast recording.)
3. Les Misérables
4. Elisabeth (Would love to see them try their hand at playing it on Broadway or in London, but I don't hold my breath.)
5. Next to Normal
Honorable mentions go to Wicked (mostly for nostalgic reasons nowadays), Jekyll & Hyde, CATS, Fun Home, Beauty and the Beast, and recently Great Comet.
