I like Barrett as Janis, not sure about Taylor. But i don't know much about her.

I say Taylor Louderman back in Bring It On and she was excellent. She could totally pull off Regina George, though she's innocent enough I could've seen her more as Cady. Adrienne Warren would've been an amazing Regina. That would've been a fun reunion.
Inspired casting, both Louderman and Weed. Huge fan of both. Have to admit, Taylor may appear more Cady on stage, but her decision to pull out of Ride The Cyclone after 2 weeks of performances shows she's tough as hell, like Regina. I love it.

Haven't seen Taylor live, nice to see good mentions. Personally, I wouldn't mind J Harrison Ghee cast as Regina instead. He is my personal favorite sassy queen on stage.

Finally, some news! I'm a bit skeptical of Taylor as Regina. She reads more of a Karen and Cady than Regina, especially with her looks. But, still can't wait to see what she does. And YES BARRETT! Perfect choice for Janis!
I heard that apparently Jessica Keenan Wynn was in talks to play Regina... which personally I think she's perfect for the role. She even looks like Rachel McAdams...

I'm worried that casting Weed would make it too close to Heathers 2.0. I love the idea of Jane Krakowski as the mom, if she isn't too busy and too much of a star to have such a small part. I also think Taylor is more of a Cady, but maybe she'll surprise us. What about an unknown as Cady and a big name as Regina?
Sarah Hyland would have made a great Cady. It's such a shame she can't be on Broadway because of that sitcom (great for her, not for us).

It's not just Modern Family that's keeping her off the stage. She's still dealing with a range of health issues stemming from her kidney dysplasia and subsequent transplant a few years back (she mentioned not too long ago that she'd been on bed rest for the past several months). At this point in her life it's highly unlikely that she would have the stamina to really commit to any stage work even if Modern Family was not in the picture.
