Thread would be great in the West End topics.

I haven't booked, The Young Vic hadn't settled on a seating arrangement at the time I was booking flights. I believe now it is traditional proscenium arch configuration. After seeing it in New York I wonder what impact this will have on the production.

The initial production at The Public was proscenium and worked very well. It has a revolving turntable in the center.
The tour was proscenium as well, but no turntable. Curious which one they will go with. I loved the Circle in the Square staging. I thought it was so fluid and really worked as a "memory play." But finding a space like that in London might have been a challenge.
Isn't this off-West End?
Yeah I think the Young Vic is technically off West End. Also, I saw the proscenium staging at the Public and it worked beautifully. I don't think it'll take away from the show at all.
The Young Vic is one of the most flexible spaces in London. (the recent Yerma originated here)
Is Fun Home definitely being performed end-on?
(Incidentally, the Young Vic is off-West End "royalty" and actually qualifies for the Olivier Awards)

I would see this for Jenna Russell's Helen alone. Maybe it will transfer if the reviews/sales are great.
I hope this gets a broadcast. It always bothered me that the original production wasn't filmed for PBS or anything.
I had no clue Jenna Russell is in this!!!! Her performance in Sunday in the Park is still one of my all-time favorites. Her silent tears...ugh, I gotta see her in this.
