Hi all! My boyfriend's birthday is coming up. He's been a jazz musician since he was young, so we're off to Hadestown. I just need a recommendation for a good restaurant close to the Walter Kerr Theater. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Orso (very classy), Bond 45 (Italian), Sardi's (caricatures on the walls), Joe Allen (posters of Broadway flops on the walls), Gallagher's Steakhouse, Aureole, Hurley's.

And if you like the taste of cardboard and crowds of tourists, don't miss the Olive Garden in Times Square!

He loves hot wings and he eats Indian food, so pretty good.

La Masseria is an excellent Italian place practically next door to the Kerr.

Just remembering you've had an "and" When you're back to "or" Makes the "or" mean more than it did before

My boyfriend and I like to hit up Lillies Victorian if we're in town for a matinee. Great place to grab lunch or dinner before a show! Cool inside too. Service isn't bad but it's not out of this world, never once had a bad meal there though!

Lillie's is also quite loud, so be aware of that if your noise tolerance isn't good.

Also try Pongsri on 48th and Nizza around the corner from Schmackary's!

I second this or our favorite: Glass House Tavern...great food, ambience and ask for a booth upstairs

Also, Blue Fin and Dos Caminos are very good located right on Broadway-47th.

You’re probably not looking for this, but if you are spending some time there definitely got to the Times Square Diner. I am in love w their fries...I splurge and get fires, cheeseburger, and milkshake when there. Also their breakfasts are hard to beat, especially the stuffed French toast. It’s on 8th/50th

Westway Diner is 100 times better than Times Sqaure. Go there for a cheaper bite.
