Does anyone know if Roger Bart has scheduled time out of the show within the next few months? Thank you.

Funny you should ask now - he’ll be on vacation next week, the 31st through the 7th.

My time in New York is almost over and I have had a total blast seeing BTTF five times (twice in one day).  I never seem to tire of this show.  The feelgood factor is impossible for me to resist.  Some of the cast got to know us a little bit and would rush to hug us at the stage door.  They are such a warm and welcoming bunch.  This video I took of the curtain call from the front row highlights this.

My video on TikTok.

Can't imagine seeing BTTF a second time, but hey, more people seeing that, less people competing for rush/lottery for the other shows ;-)

Blimey.  What a patronising oik you are.  Get down from your high horse and allow me to like what I like.  I've already explained that I am new to Broadway theatre.  I feel sorry for those of you who need everything to be high art.  Are you all incapable of fun?  Good lord.  You can all go and enjoy all the people who I am unfamiliar with and I will enjoy the shows I know and love.  I don't know why people feel the need to belittle others for not knowing everything and everyone.  Did you all know everything within a year of getting into the subject whilst living in a country that doesn't promote Broadway much?  All I know is that I had MAJOR FUN for the best part of a week and will be returning home on a high.

Though it may be a little off topic, I just want to give a huge shout out to the Winter Garden Theater Box Office!  We had won the ticket lottery for the 3/16/24 matinee show, and the tickets we won was a horrible partial view seat on the extreme right side of the orchestra (Row G, 28 & 30).  I went to the box office at 10:10 and asked them what they could do to help me out if at all possible.  The sweet box office attendant told me to come back at 1:30 and they will see what they can do.  I came back at 1:30 and after a few minutes of striking a few keyboard keys, they were able to change my ticket to center orchestra, row N, 108 and 109.  There was no upcharge for this seating exchange.  I was so thrilled to see to show and not miss any of the special effects which are an integral part of the show.  So thank you Winter Garden for making our afternoon at the theater a fantastic experience!

They are indeed very accommodating and helpful.  I bought front row tickets six months before my trip, but a week before I flew over I discovered that my fave, Roger, would be on holiday for that performance.  They allowed us to swap our tickets for an earlier date when Roger would be appearing.

Did they just use b-roll footage for that performance? It looks way overly polished and you can tell certain cast members who are no longer in the show were featured.

I'm in the UK.  Does The Kelly Clarkson Show usually have performers in the studio?  I did think it odd when I saw the performance.

Most of the performances on Kelly’s show are pre-tapes except for thr kellyoke at the beginning of each episode.

I was at today's matinee. I can't get over the fact that the show ends by cutting off Power of Love so the DeLorean can fly over the audience. That gives a pretty good idea of where its priorities lie.

The George McFly understudy was on and he was the highlight of the show, along with Jelani Remy as Goldie Wilson. Though it's not a great sign when two side characters have better songs than Marty and Doc Brown.

The scenic/video design was stellar and the show's only real Tony chance IMO. Then again, the audience ate everything up, so I'm not sure that matters.

We get to hear about ¾ of The Power Of Love before the car appears.  The priority of this show is to entertain and most people are, but they can't please everyone.

The thing about the songs in this show is that everyone has a different favourite.  This means that most of the songs are liked by some, if not all, people.  Whichever songs you didn't like are absolutely loved by other people.  There is no one big favourite new song in this show.  Maybe some people see that as a failing, but I don't.  I see it as the show providing something for most people.

Ah, Sardi's.  I'm surprised he wasn't added a long time ago, but better late than never.

😊

Yes, thanks for explaining how opinions work...and Fordham is allowed to express theirs.

If the show were better, you wouldn't need to defend it.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

they do almost the entire song minus the guitar solo

also the original song repeats and fades so not sure what you think is a better option

if you were witness to the roar of the audience in reaction to the car flying it seems like the priority to entertain was not entirely misguided

your final sentence says it best

this is an audience pleaser and never pretends to be anything else

it will have vastly outlasted shows this season like lempicka or the other show with power of love in it

maybe that should be their new marketing angle

“better than lempicka!”

I was merely trying to point out that while some shows have one or two numbers that are overwhelming favourites with most people, BTTF favourites seem to be more spread out.  Trust me, I know it's not worth trying to defend the show here, but I will continue to talk about it because I love it.  I'm well aware of the miniscule minority that puts me in here.  Very well aware.
