There was still a tour going? How much $ did it end up losing?

I thought a non Equity tour was going to start when the tour ended.

I saw the touring production twice and enjoyed it both times. It isn't one of my favorite shows, but it was high energy and fun!

The non equity tour was just cast, and a friend of mine is in the ensemble, so look out for that production!

I agree they shouldn't advertise "direct from Broadway," but not all of them are trash. Some equity tours are trash.

The non-equity tour of 42nd Street (starring our own Natalie2) was/is fabulous!

The Millie tour is scheduled to be in my hometown in mid-February 2006.

Jwei, do you know or can you find out who will be playing Millie? Just curious, as I'd heard that Mara Davi of the current 42nd Street tour was interested.

Yes FLMarc...all non Equity work is trash.

Just like Good Vibrations...BKLYN.....

If those had been Equity productions they would have been stellar.

And Non-equity tours aren't trash, they are just unfair to the audience and the actors. The actors are usually paid less than scale and the audience is usually charged Broadway ticket prices and led to believe they are seeing what was on Broadway. The performers are often good, but non-equity tours are very unethical in more ways than one.

Unfair to performers, you say?

And just whom are you to speak for the hundreds of non Equity performers who are employed by these shows? Who died and made you spokseman?

At last check, no one was putting a gun to the head of non Equiry performers and forcing them to audition.

Don't go making sweeping statements that you can't back up.

Do I really need to type I THINK and I FEEL in front of all my posts, so you know it's just my opinion. Which, I am entitled to.

I THINK: The producers take advantage of performers who want a job. Plain and simple.

Sure it's their choice, but the point is, they should be given better choices.

Wow. It's just a msg board hon. Focus your anger somewhere a bit more important

Natalie Buster, I remember you telling me how you felt about non-equity tours and why you do them. If you read this please explain to everyone else.

I have a question about non equity tours. If you do one are you not allowed to join equity? or if you have an equity card and do one, do you get kicked out?
