Does anyone know where I can get a copy of Adam Pascal's song "Winter Light" written by Stephen Schwartz and Alan Menken from the film, NOEL. I downloaded a version of that Alan Menken fan site, but the quality was terrible. Does anyone know where I can get the soundtrack? Any help with be appreciated.
They gave it out as part of some promotional thing with like.... sodas at movie theatres, or something. It's very pretty.

Really? On the top of the sodas?
Something like that. It was a CD that was supposed to "self-destruct."
mine hasn't destructed itself yet

Seriously? I've seen pics of the CD's on top of the drinks, but never got one. Did it self destruct? Did it have the whole Alan Menken score or just the song. It sounds like there are several different versions in the movie. Also, love the latin choral also. Sorry I'm asking so many questions, this fascinates me.
They lie!
It's just that song, I think.

Good to hear. I wonder what it would do if it did self destruct? Too bad they didn't release the whole score...I love it, but Adam's song is so beautiful!
*clutches heart as left side goes numb*
There's an Adam pascal song I've never heard?
*collapses*
Can someone help me? Send me the song and I may be able to pull through alive...

There's a minute long clip of this song here: http://www.robin-williams.net/scores/noel.htm
I want to hear the whole thing now! Very interesting.
nice clip. when was this done?
last year around Xmas
it starts of with a boy choir singing and then goes into a pop beat and Adam starts to sing, then for the key change the boys come back in and Adam belts
It's very pretty, it was written by Schwartz and Menken
Belt, Adam. Belt.
Yay Adam! Pretty song, I have never heard Adam sing like that (in that soft, higher voice) but it sounded really soothing. I wish I could hear the last part of the song where he belts though.
It's very falsetto-y.
Adam's falsetto makes for a very happy me.

Falsetto and THEN belting? Mmm, Adam. *dies*

I'm seeing the moth-to-flame syndrome in effect, Allie and Emcee.
Self-destructing holiday music? Is this from Mission Impossible, a Christmas movie or some frightening combination that involves Tom Cruise as Scientologist Clause?

Da da DAAAA, da da DAAAA *tucks and rolls*
It is indeed, quite high up there on the scale. Especially for Adam. But I'd be lying flatter then a rug if I said I didn't completely love it to death. :-P Belting and falsetto-y voice.....mmmmm. Heh OK i'm done, I'll go to bed now and spare all from my mindless banter....*wanders off*
The only release I ever saw of NOEL was a promo that was sent out to Academy Award Voters for Best Original Score/Best Original Song. It had 10 tracks, including two versions of "Winter Light" - a "Montage" version and then the "End Credits" version. It also contained "Lux Perpetua" also with lyrics by Schwartz.

I take it your have to be a member of the "academy" to receive this...Like those DVD's a screeners...It seems strange that they wouldn't release it...It's not like Alan Menken (and Stephen Schwartz for that matter) is a nobody!

So people went to all the trouble to make this movie and now they're just going to let it rot in the archives? Did I read that correctly?
