Probably the Broadhurst.
My birthday it opens! Anyone feeling generous...?
It ain't the Broadhurst.
Then what is it? The Al Hirshfeld?
It's slated for a Jujamcyn theatre.
My guess would be the Hirschfeld...I don't think the others will be availabe by March.

MY GUESS IS THE Hilton/Ford THEATRE AS THE rumor is that Chitty is closing in January.
Sweet Charity isn't going anywhere.
It wont be the Hirschfeld.
First off, it would NEVER be the Hilton. And it's not even a Jujamcyn theatre.
Second, rumor is CHARITY will close when Christina leaves.
Third, there's no other Jujamcyn that will be open. Unless SWEENEY and JERSEY BOYS gets incredibly bad reviews, which I think is unlikely. And THE PRODUCERS and DOUBT aren't going anywhere. It's the only logical solution.
Oh yeah. That's a good rumor!
and an awfully fake one. Considering it's been announced that the Weisslers are already looking for a replacement for Christina.
Then where, may I ask...do you see it going ljay? Since you know oh so much. Did I say it was definitely going there? No. I said was my prediction.
has laura quit yet?

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm actually really freaking excited for this!!!
oh and wedding singer at the hilton might be the scariest thing i've ever heard
If it's going to a Jujamcyn Theater, that sort of limits its options.
They own:
The St. James- and The Producers sure isn't closing anytime soon, so that's out.
The Hirshfield- The Weissler's aren't going to just close up Sweet Charity if they can find a new name to step in (and we know they're after Claire Danes right now, and probably others), so that's probably out.
The Virginia (or whatever its new name is)- Jersey Boys is there now. Who knows how long that will last. Maybe it will go there if Jersey Boys is a flop.
Eugene O'Neill- I think Sweeney Todd will still be around come the spring, so that's out.
Walter Kerr- not a musical house, so that's out.
I think JERSEY BOYS will be around, too. It got great critical feedback in LaJolla and it's getting great audience feedback in NY so far.
water kerr has had a few musicals... chu chem was there! haha...
and wasn't the show that the theater opened back up with in the '70s a musical? with nell carter and peter allen i think?
well, that's not the point, i guess. doubt probably isn't going anywhere.
are we SURE it's going into a jujamcyn house?
"Producers Margo Lion, New Line Cinema and the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle announced that the production will open at a Jujamcyn theatre in April 2006; previews are set to begin in March."

I've heard the demo or whatever for this, and it sounds pretty good! I'm excited!

So the Broadhurst is out? That seems like the most logical to me. I'm not sure if its the right company, but I can't imagine them post-poning this show until a Jujamcyn theater is open. This show doesn't come off as needing a big theater, seems like a smaller show - sorta "in my life" ish.

let me just put this to rest: chitty is NOT closing this January.
I LOVED the demo too.
"It's your Weding Day", "Single" and the new duet version of "Growing Old With You" are awesome.
I really look forward to this show, I love the eighties sound.
