I would have to say that it's a tie between David Merrick and Joseph Brooks. Any other opinions?
Wayne Cilento. Why people keep hiring him, I'll never know..
I believe Merrick's infamy is legendary!
Wayne Cilento is by no means infamous...maybe by your standards, but you pointed out yourself that people keep hiring him. He's obviously doing something right.
It's my freaking opinion. Get over it.

Joe Mantello or Harold Price.
Ben Vereen. He annoys the fool out of me.
Ah, yes. But if it wasn't for Hal Prince, Mendelbaum's book would be half as big.

Diana DeGarmo.
WTF?
I'm suprised Ms. Donna Murphy has not yet been mentioned. Not that she out-infamies Merrick, but it can't be great for her career that any mention of her name is accompanied by a joke about not showing up.

Infamous, by my definition, involves some sort of bad behavior that causes the person to be thought of negatively or evokes some sort of dread at having to deal with the person. Seeing as how Diana DeGarmo is not known for her tantrums, diva demands, or for being unprofessional, I don't know if "infamous" is a word that describes her. People may have doubts about her being the new Penny but I'd hardly say she's considered infamous (and she hasn't even debuted yet). But to each their own, of course.
I second the person who mentioned Lauren Bacall.
