While waiting, I met a guy (Frank.) He had got there at 7am! Anthony got there at 9am. Frank told me this story. Frank's gf pointed and said "There is Anthony"- Frank turned around and said "Holy Sh*t" really loud. Anthony looked over and Frank walked over to him. He pointed at Anthony and said "You are Anthony Rapp" Anthony answered "Yes, I am" Frank again said "You are Anthony Rapp" Again Anthony answered, "Yes, I am" Again, Frank said "You are Anthony Rapp." Anthony responded "Yes, we've already established that." So Frank asked him to sign the book. Anthony asked Frank his name. Frank said "Anthony Rapp." Anthony said, "NO! Your name." Frank finally said "Frank"... The way he told the story was hysterical. Talk about starstruck!
Anyway- After 300+ people piled in the auditorium, the interview began. Then question and answer session. There were 2 elderly people and when people asked questions they said "Speak up!" They were getting a bit annoying and Anthony sorta made fun of them in an amusing way. He is soo funny, he is open with everything that has ever happened to him- he is not ashamed at all and is often funny about it. Then 10 people from a performing arts HS sang Seasons of Love with Anthony. Then, one girl and Anthony sang "Without You." It was absolutely tear-jerking beautiful!
Anthony is so adorable and he wore he blue leather-type jacket.
Then I went to the book signing and was mostly towward the front of the line- thank G-d. He said he was willing to stay as long as he needed to but he had a flight at 5:00. haha.
He signed the book quickly and took pictures. His hand had to hurt by the end, the line for signing and pictures was very very long.
P.S. One of the questions was asked by 2 teenage girls. They said they were aspiring actresses and wanted to know how he came to be such a big star and what his favorite song to sing at an audition. I felt like screaming "Idina Wannabe's!!!"

Haha, nice story! I met him in Chicago, and I wasn't too scared. Before I met him, I was, but while it was happening, I acted very calm. Or at least I think I did.
Lizzie- I don't think he minded. Toward the end of the video, he started doing the shoulder dance. She was so nevous by the end that she started to run away and he called after her "You may want your book!" She ran back and he said, "You do have a beautiful voice"

I would have to agree that he was probably put in an awkward position. But that's not for us to judge. That is a moment your friend wont forget and I'm sure he realized that and went along with it to be nice.
I love that your friend got that moment though, she had guts to go after it!
Wow. I know I have like... conservative views about what's weird to do to actors and whatnot, but that's just really, really cute. That was sweet of him to do!
I watched about 3 seconds of that and had to close it. Poor guy.
I felt the same way. Honestly, he appeared uncomfortable to me; therefore, I felt embarassed for her. If he truly wasn't... more power to your friend. She actually does have a nice voice.
