Hey everyone!
For all you CIVIL WAR fans out there, like myself, just an FYI that they are doing it again this summer at the Majestic Theater in Gettysburg, PA from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Michael Lanning and Keith Byron Kirk have been confirmed - the rest of the cast should be announced shortly.
It is actaully performing there for the next 5 years. Every summer! I can't wait I will be driving there this summer.

I was aware of them being there for 5 years and forgot to mention it - thanks!
I am going in June 15 & 16 and seeing it both nights! CAN'T WAIT!
Plus I love Gettysburg - was there for my first time last fall and I fell in love with it's beauty and history.
Very cool. I have not made a decision about when I am going. It depends a bit on when my friends can trek out there for a roadtrip (and whose driving).
I'm really trying to work it into my summer! I hope I can go. When I heard this I thought "way to find your niche". But then again I'm not so sure how many Gettysburg tourists are there for the musicals! Hope it does well!!!

There really is no other evening entertainment there except for a new movie theater complex thats being built - the city shuts down pretty early - I think it's going to do well. *fingers crossed*

I'm sure it will be fantastic.
This is one Broadway show that I truly wish they had made a CD out of. When Gilles Chaisson used to sing Sarah, I would cry...one of the few Wildhorn songs that actually has an effect on me !
I have yet to go to Gettysburg, the photographer and history buff in me is dying to go. I used to want to just do the Ghost tours, but now I have even more incentive. Woohoo!!!

Gettysburg is a beautiful town with amazing history. I must say that I felt like my life was changed after going to Gettysburg and learning about what happened there.

There are a couple different concept recordings out there. I know that a few of the stars of the Broadway show and the tour are featured on one of them.

I live in York, Pa and I plan on going to see it for my birthday. I think it will do well. They are building more and more in the area. They have another theater they just built and they are trying to make it a little more "tourist" friendly. There is hope that one of the new permits for a Casino is given to a company that wants to built one at the 30/15 intersection. I think it would do well and I think that it would bring more people into the area.
I could've SWORN that they made a "Civil War" CD. Isn't the cover like blue-ish?? I know I've seen it. I play yahoo launchcast every day and since Linda Eder ranks high on my list, it has played "For The Glory" several times! Linda sings just a bit part, but I LOVE the song regardless!!!!
If gas prices go down, it might be a nice road trip to take. I've never been to Gettysburg & I missed the show when it ran on Bway!

Yes, there was a recording of the Broadway cast, or so I thought. There was one with a flag on the cover.

Gettysburg is a great town - I'm a little sad to be leaving it in just a couple of weeks when I graduate from the college. I hope the musical is a success and brings more/other shows to the area. The Majestic Theatre is gorgeous!

I'm seeing it on June 15 & 16 - CAN'T WAIT!
And Michael Lanning and Keith Byron Kirk (from the OBC) are in it! Plus Rob Evan!

Yep, it's the one w/ the flag on the cover! I'm not totally crazy!! Thanks :)
What's even better is that it is rumored (from Frank's mouth) that they will be recording a new cast recording with the Gettysburg cast! So we will finally have a real cast recording, instead of the concept one with hootie and the blowfish.
