I love WICKED and I just thought that it'd be perfect if only Linda Eder and Liz Callaway were younger, to play Elphaba and Glinda, respectively. And oh, Mary Testa (if given that she's a liltle bit older) as Morrible.
So, who's on your mind?
Okay, okay!
Say it somehow...the beauty is, I have been changed for good!
In my mind, WICKED would shrivel up and disappear from existence. Along with the other tons of WICKED casting threads that we already have.

Off topic: last night I was watching West Wing and a friend walked in. Chenoweth, or K-Chen, as I like to call her, spoke and my friend said, "WHOA! What is that voice about???" She had this look on her face that was a cross between horror and disgust. It was greaat.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
alice ripley isn't too old to play Elphaba now... but judy kuhn or betty buckly and patty choenhour or rebecca luker as elphaba and glinda are my votes. Updated On: 4/17/06 at 10:13 AM

Ahhh My scariest thought is Barbara Cook as Glinda.
Even scarier...Elaine Stritch as Elphaba! But I would pay top dollar to see that!
...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...
Elaine Stritch as Galinda and Harvey Fierstein. That would make a great FB number. LOL. And Elaine could interupt the number and say i'm still here. And Harvey could say, oy Elaine don't do Follies we are in Wicked now.

tom- i come on this website and read people bashing wicked all the time, which makes me mad, but i get over it. however, i WILL NOT STAND for someone bashing kristin chenoweth. that girl is more talented than the rest of the world combined, and her high pitched squeaky voice just makes her more unique!

Sing with me, people: We're not gonna take it! NO! We ain't gonna take it! We're not gonna take it, ANYMORE!
Ya know, come to think of it, Kristin might have been perfect had she been a little younger. (adjusts halo)
What about Ethel Merman as Elphaba and Paul Lynde as Glinda?

I really dislike Patti Lupone. Thought her performance in Sweeney was dreadful. She was out of character half the time, and lost the complete essence of the character. So, no I would not like to see her do wicked.
Now, Marin Mazzie would be amazing at either roles!
And Rachel York as Glinda!
Hmmm, and what about Audra McDonald as Elphaba. I could see it!
