I think these people should be in these shows

Examples:

Cleavant Derricks-RENT-Collins

Elliot Yamin-RENT or Wicked-Mark or Fiyero

Ashley Brown-Wicked-G(a)linda

LaToya London-Aida-Aida

Janine LaManna-Hairspray-Penny/Velma

Eden Espinosa-Dirty Rotten Scoundrels-Christine

What do you think?

I'm sorry, I have to comment.

Elliot Yamin as Fiyero??

My God. I voted for him, but nooooo. Never ever.

Janine LaManna would be a good Velma in Hairspray, but she's far too old to play Penny convincingly.

Ashley Brown will of course be busy for awhile, so I don't think we'll see her in Wicked. Besides, she's got much more of an Elphaba type voice anyway (girl can BELT).

I love Elliot but there's no way he could sing the role of Mark.

Unless you're seeing things, nobody said anything about Aida being in London.

While I've always admired Cleavant Derricks as a performer, I think it's a little bit of a stretch suggest he play Collins, if only for the fact that he's fifty-three years old.

No, latoya London is her name. If Aida made it to London, she would be great!

I said for G(a)linda because she has a high operatic voice, in addition to great belt. She could play either. Will she be in Mary Poppins in March 2007.

Since you mentioned Christine in DRS.. You know who I could see in that role? Kind of an odd choice, but Sarah Saltzberg from "Spelling Bee."

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Really? Not to be rude, but is that lisp in the show real? Because a lisping Christine would be AWESOME!!!!

Um, to be perfectly blunt, Eden Espinosa doesn't have an ice cube's chance in hell at playing Christine in DRS. She is totally wrong for the part.

I would PAY good money to see Janine LaManna play the role of Penny in Hairspray

Me too, if she was 20 years younger, maybe.

I'm still sticking to the idea of JLT as Christine Colgate. I can totally see her in it. Can't see Eden in the role though...

If Aida made it to London, she would be great!

You know that Aida isn't playing on Broadway anymore, either, right?

I think a intresting cast of Rent would be as follows
Mark: Antonio Banderas
Roger: Ewan McGregor
Collins: Will Farrel
Benny: Rick Lyon
Angel: (I have no idea)
Mimi: Madonna
Joanare: Who I think should be cast as a replacement in Rent, Wicked, and moreI have no idea)
Maureen: Linsey Lohan

Tell me what you think
Intresting cast?

Wow, now that I think of it.. JLT is pretty much perfect for Christine. I'm sure she'd be fantastic if she did do it.

It's fake, and to the original person who posted the idea - it's an odd choice, but I can see it.

Sorry but no dice for Eden as Christine. Laura Bell Bundy would be a perfect Christine in DRS but I am sure she couldn't do it because of Legally Blonde.
And no offense but I don't think Elliot is good looking enough to play Fiyero.
