You have to wait, but I think it's cheaper on amazon than on psclassics...
It states on the PS Classics site that they will release Grey Gardens on 8/8 and they will ship after that date. Amazon releases on the 8/22, so its a matter of about 2 weeks difference. Amazon is 13.99 and PS is 14.99, so it all depends on how badly you want to hear it and how long you can wait.
I think Amazon has higher shipping costs so it all evens out.

WOOOOOOO, that was FAST!
i got an email that my cd shipped TODAY!!!
I have heard that the Off Broadway CD is shelved,
in favor of a broadway recording.
Don't hold your breaths.
I would be surprised if they would be taking orders when they just plan on shelving it. Especially after all of the email updates I have received about the release. I guess I'll see in a day or two if I get my CD!

I'm actually suprised they didn't opt for a Broadway cast, considering that just sounds more legit.
because it was recorded before the transfer was official?
"legit" or not the best scores came from off-broadway this year-
See What I Wanna See
Bernarda Alba
[title of show]
Spring Awakening
and Grey Gardens
n69n, how many times have you played "Another Winter In A Summer Town"? Pass the Kleenex....

True, but to a tourist, to see "Original Broadway Cast Recording" means more to them then "Off-Broadway." I'm just saying, I'm suprised they didnt opt for a Broadway Cast Recording, even if they had already recorded it. The score might change when it opens on Broadway.
Wasn't this recorded before the Broadway transfer was announced?
And I highly doubt many tourists will see this show, so your point is really, well, pointless.

Even if it was recorded before the official announcement, I think the producers knew they were going to move the show for a while, so they had plenty of time to opt not to record it just yet.
I wasn't trying to start a fight. I don't understand why ya'll can't except other opinions? Are you really that much of an ass?
