I'm sure this has been discussed, but gosh, what a cast!
Amanda Peet, Judd Hirsch, Steven Webber, Bradley Whitford, Sarah Paulson, Michael Stuhlbarg, Donna Murphy....and even a character "based" on Kristen Chenoweth!
How can you beat that? It's an excellent show...the pilot's up on AOL....legally.

The show is a very well-written show, very interesting characters so far, and top of the line casting.
Donna Murphy's role seems quite minor but she's still great. The character based on Kristin Chenoweth is the Christian actress called Harriet played by Sarah Paulson (the resemblance is uncanny).

Posted: 9/18/06 at 11:00pmI'm not hooked on the show (yet). It does have potential but tonight's episode wans't anything to rave about.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I thought this episode was very well-written, and it cerainly has potential. I'll be tuning in next week for sure.
I hadn't read any of the press interviews about this show, so I had no idea Sorkin based a character on Chenoweth. I knew immediately it had to be her though...the whole singing on Pat Robertson's show story-line gave it away...

Plus getting that dirty a joke on national TV. The director cut Hersch off in mid word (the word being mother******). Then having Bradford Whitford saying to the director that if he'd left him on for one more second, he'd have given him a raise.
It's like the old movie production code. Nowadays the TV producers are finding clever ways to insert the dirty jokes and slip em by the FCC.

After watching the Class, I put this on.
It was hysterical. When the Kristin-character came on and mentioned 700 Club I almost died. I was like "Cheno?"
Matthew Perry was great. As was Amanda Peet.
