He's recording a CD!
Cannot wait for that. So much to look forward to in life.
He's King Ttriton?!
No, he's Ariel! Sheesh, read the article!!!1!
Nice article, love Norm, but... yikes! Is he allowed to talk so freely about TLM casting? It's not like it's not been all over the boards for weeks or anything, but the worst *we* could get for constantly waffling about it is a slapped wrist or something. :3
I think since a lot of the actors has been cast for quite awhile they just got so frustrated and spoke.
Who can blame them?
King Triton finds Ariel absent from an underwater feast and finds that she has gone to the surface. He is pretty upset and also gets into this big feud with Ursula and so on as the story unfolds.
Damn. I was looking forward to the whole gala beginning with all the sisters singing, the big shell opening, and GASP! Ariel isn't there and you know Triton is about to get really angry.

...That IS how is begins...
In the movie there's no underwater feast, and, if my memory serves me right, no big feud with Ursula. But maybe the author of the article didn't intend to state that that's the way the show will begin? I can't remember now...*is confused*
You need to rewatch the movie.
It's a great movie so it won't be a pain.

Well I'm happy to hear SRS is top runner!
I can't believe I don't remember the feast! Crikey. I guess I should head over to THE SITE to refresh my Little Mermaid memory, eh?
Im excited for Norm. He deserves to have a role like this. Congrats to him! (Hopefully they will find a good replacement for him as Javert)
OK, so I rewatched the movie, and I swear: there is no underwater feast, and no big feud with Ursula!

Well I guess there is a fued when Triton tells Ursula to leave Ariel alone near the end, and Ursula is like " Not a chance Triton she belongs to me"
Feast, party, whatever...
You are taking it too literally, Cait.
Feast, party, whatever...
Gala at the beginning?
Yeah.
in the movie Ariel calls it a concert, but it's a feast. It's a celebration. As for the feud, there's one in the movie that's hinted at. Ursula's been jealous of him forever and I believe it comes up in the second movie as well with Ursula's sister. It would make sense for the production to try and explain that feud more deeply.
Question about Ursula...In the movie she says "When I lived in the palace". Does that mean that at one point she was a mermaid, a princess, some kind of royalty? I wish they had gone into that a bit more.
As I remember, Ursula was Triton's sister. It was revealed in the sequel or TV show..or something....
It says in the casting notice that she's his sister, too.

And it mentions that she's his sister in the deleted scenes on the 2-disk special edition..
Whoa! That's news to me then. I wonder if she was always an octo-woman.
