I'll be in March for four days and am having difficulty in making the decision in which shows to see. This will be my only trip to New York until after the Tonys.
Here are my definites...what should I fill in?
March 1 - ??? March 2 - DEAD MAN'S CELLPHONE (Mat) / ??? (Eve) March 3 - GYPSY (1st Preview) March 4 - THE LITTLE MERMAID
Thanks!!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

March 1st you could always see the first preview of SOUTH PACIFIC
But yes, I'd also say AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY (which I'm hopefully seeing final performance...)
My 2007/2008 Season:
Grey Gardens (7/5)
110 in the Shade (7/6)
Mary Poppins (7/7)
Xanadu (7/7)
Deuce (7/8)
Spamalot (7/8)
Jersey Boys (8/25)
The Year of Magical Thinking (8/25)
Mauritius (11/2)
Young Frankenstein (11/3)
Rock 'N' Roll (11/3)
Pygmalion (11/4)
Mauritius (11/10)
Mauritius (11/21) Mauritius (11/21)
Sunday in the Park with George (3/6)
South Pacific (3/7)
Gypsy (3/8)
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (3/9)
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY is on the top of my list but SOUTH PACIFIC is also tempting. If SOUTH PACIFIC is in previews...perhaps it will have a Sunday evening performance I could see??

I've seen XANADU twice already. It's the only show of this season that I have seen.

I confess that I didn't see IN THE HEIGHTS, but if I were you, I'd choose SOUTH PACIFIC and AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY to fill in the blanks.
Wasn't sure from your post - do you have a ticket for DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE already? Because they have a Sunday evening performance (March 2nd). I'm not sure if the shows I suggested have Sunday nights.
Do you have a ticket for THE LITTLE MERMAID already bec. that show looks like one of those Sesame Street's song... which one does not belong to the group? an odd choice
though I am seeing TLM this weekend...but I have seen all those show already or have tickets to the ones you mentioned...but for you.. its an odd choice?
