and loved it! I saw it Monday night, and there were no understudies on. I was pleasantly surprised by the animation projections (I had not read about them) and the bad-idea bears. I won the ticket lotto, so I was in the front row, but my view was not obstructed in any way. A more detailed review tomorrow...
Animation projections? Do you mean the sequences shown on the plasma screens?
Glad you finally got to see it!
Now you know why so many of us love it.
A fun night at the theater for sure!

Glad you enjoyed the show! I was surprised by the Bad Idea Bears, too, when I saw it. In fact, I was surprised by a lot. Even though I already adore the soundtrack, the live show was somehow a million times funnier than I expected!
It is one of my favorite shows. Now, I miss it. But, I have seen it seven times.
My favorite puppeteer in Q!
(But, I love Jen, Mary Faber, Ms Garcia, Foa and Tags)

Yay! Another resident of Avenue Q!! My 3rd favorite show of all time. (1st: Gypsy and 2nd: Sweeney Todd)
I have yet to see it, but love the cast recording.
*sigh* someday when I'm rich I can see all the shows I want.

AVE Q is at the top of my list over Les Miz and Phantom former tops. The tour is wonderful especially Rob McClure as Princeton/Rod.
Saw it May 31st and June 1st

I saw this show a few years ago, and was really surprised by how much I liked it. I really didn't want to like it because it beat "Caroline, or Change" for the Best Musical Tony (I know, I know, no need to verbally attack me for this). But, I was surprised by how much heart and soul there was to it. I like it a lot. I still don't think it should have won Best Musical (:-P) but, I like it a lot!

uhmmm, Avenue Q won over Wicked, Caroline or Change and Boy from Oz at the 2004 Tony Awards. They were all the same season.
