A spokesperson for the acclaimed musical confirmed to Playbill.com that Parrish joined the cast as the young radical Melchior at the Aug. 11 performance.
"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Hunter Parrish, born May 13, 1987 in Richmond, Virginia, is an American actor, best known for playing Silas Botwin in Showtime's television series "Weeds."
Wow...I'm quite impressed with his voice! He sounds great! Saw SA with the original cast (minus Lea Michele) but I may just have to see again it with Hunter!
He sounds like the most vacuous, unconvincing, phony TV star to ever hit Broadway. Every line seems either (a) carefully scripted by a PR guy, or (b) completely unscripted so he was grasping for every faux-sincere cliche he could muster:
"I think the best thing about being here on stage is that I get to perform in front of ALL these people that sit in these chairs out here! And it's, like, um, a great reaction you get back!"
But yeah, he's generic pretty and his voice sounds fine. But let's see if he can act at all-- his "Weeds" appearances make it seem he'll follow in Groff's footsteps.
He does a great job in WEEDS, I hope I get to see him in this show.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
I know that usually all you see of the conductor is their back, but even in this video they only show Kimberly's back. I feel bad for her. Is she still with the show, or is she just there doing music director duties? Updated On: 8/13/08 at 04:52 PM
The left half of that board boasts Gerard Canonico as the new Moritz. First time, that I know of, that they have used pix of anyone other than Groff, Gallagher and Michelle for publicity. (Except immediately outside the theater.)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
