For all of you rockers headed to The Today Show on Monday morning, here's a chance to show your support of "Rock of Ages" on national TV AND possibly score some seats to the show!
We will be holding a fan-created poster contest during the broadcast - the most kickass sign in the crowd (to be judged by the cast and Today Show folks) will win a pair of tickets to a future Monday or Tuesday night performance of "Rock of Ages".
So get creative and we'll see you as we ROCK the ROCK on Monday!
Oh Lizzy, I am so bummed I can't be there Monday (Having company for a Connecticut BBQ.)
I have some GREAT photos of Wesley, Lauren, Constantine that I took after my first Rock of Ages visit (opening week). I had them blown up and the stars signed them on my second visit. They would be great on a poster with a pithy caption... sigh...
Also, Constantine came to the stage door the other day in a tuxedo (sans tie).... which I think is pretty funny.... just saying.
wait, was that saturday night? i was at the stagedoor saturday night and he def had a suit on.

Constantine was wearing the tux at the end of the Saturday matinee and I doubt he had a wedding to go to between gigs....
I think it is his new look.
Speaking of Fleet Week... Watched a little of the Yankees game on TV tonight (toggled it with the Red Sox game, big Sox fan here)... anyway, TONS of empty seats behind home plate... C'mon Yankees, give some to the Fleet guys!
then he was probably wearing the same saturday night...
he was gracious at stagedoor but said he had to run so he couldn't take pictures. he took off toward's 8th avenue. i started that way to walk to port authority and it was like he disappeared in thin air. so wherever he was going he must have been in a hurry.

Just finished watching the third ROA performance on the Today show. Very good job by the cast with Don't Stop Believin', High Enough, and Here I Go Again. Very entertaining and fun!
Lizzy was that you in a Rock of Ages jacket? If so, you were featured numerous times, hope you TIVO'd the show.
Renaibr, I saw some girls with a pink sign saying it was her 14th birthday. If that was your group, you also shared some limelight on the show. Kudos.
One annoyance: Someone hawking Hebrew National Hot Dogs during the performance... so NOT Kosher, man!
The interview with Constantine and Amy.... (professional job by both)
As a side note,
I went to ROA opening week, and at the stage door asked Constantine who he thought would win American Idol. He said, "Frankly, I don't give a sh*t."
In an MSNBC interview and on Today he said he watched the whole season of AI, and had great things to say about both finalists...
Attitude adjustment noted, Constantine.
As a character in Thank You For Smoking says, "Gotta pay the mortgage."

Nothing that Constantine does or says would surprise me anymore.... That being said, thought they were very energetic (especially since its so early !!!), and sounded pretty good.
the performances sounded a little off to me but I chalk that up mainly to it being so damn early, and the odd bits of restaging for morning tv
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
Constantine's been 'paying' mortgage to AI for years. He's gotten nothing from them in return. He's made it all happen on his own without any support from them.
Of course he's going to be pc on air.
I liked the recent appearance on VH1's Top 20 Countdown where AI was not mentioned one time.
I thought they sounded wonderful this morning. All of them got up pre-dawn for this appearance. It's the first time a BW show has had three songs on the Today show. The crowd was into it, too.
I saw lots of people I know in the audience. It was magical!
Jekyll & Hyde back on Broadway! / Rock of Ages - 5 Tony nominations! Awesome!
Thanks. After the last fiasco I was wondering if there really was a contest. I liked the one with the flame- ( can't remember the exact words) The guitar was cool- but not really a poster.
