I don't think Warren was at the top of Clinton's choices for VP lately, but I think with someone like Pence on the ticket, Warren will be a game changer in this election and Clinton understands that. If a woman is standing next to the man who worked so hard to hurt women in his home state, it's going to be a blood bath.

She would also help with the "untrustworthy" narrative.  Warren is consistently referred to as one of the most trustworthy politicians in the country. To say nothing of the fact that she helps bridge the gap between Clinton and Sanders. It would be a strong pick.

I understand why Warren makes sense in the short-term for the election.  Hillary herself is said to be a big fan of Warren's fiery stump speeches against Trump.  That kind of energy would be great and would obviously be enormously appealing to both progressives and populists, but Hillary's also pragmatic and is looking ahead to governing.  I have a hard time imagining a Clinton/Warren administration being smooth sailing.  Warren doesn't seem like she'd be a good soldier, falling in line.  That's got to worry Hillary.

Yes. Elizabeth Warren has criticised Hillary Clinton for being in bed with Wall Street before. I can't imagine her compromising her own values during her tenure.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

That criticism was waaaaaaaaay overblown.

One thing Elizabeth Warren knows damn well is that Hillary Clinton is NOT the enemy.

Should have been indicted. Comey basically debunked every lie she has told in relation to that case, and even said she was in the wrong. Unbelievable. Then Bernie said multiple times how she lacks proper judgement, and has taken so much money from Wall Street...and all of a sudden they're friends. Such phoniness.

I'm loving the fun people are having with the Trump/Pence logo (which they have since dropped)

Vice-Presidential nominee Mike Pence just referred to the Vice-President's office as being "down the hall" from the Oval Office.

No. No. No. No.

The Vice-President's office is, and always has been, in the Old Executive Office Building (OEOB), which is across the street.

Is it too much to ask that the potential Vice-President have a clue where his office might be? I mean anyone who's watched an episode or two of The West Wing knows this.

The question was posed by the interviewer.  This is her fault.  There's too much funny stuff to be thinking about that.  She started the question it was down the hall.

I really don't want to defend Pence. There's plenty to criticize him for. This, I fear, is not one. Perhaps you should rely less on television and more on facts when you post.... The VP maintains an office in the West Wing just down the hall from the President. The office at the EEOB is used only for select meetings and press interviews. Wow, with all the stupidity in that interview, you're coming up with that.  Trump looks like he's falling apart. When she pressed him he looked old, clueless, freaky, this whole crap is creepy.  I can't understand Trump support.  Going through the unhappy loss of family, friends.  This sucks.

My fav part was when Stahl pressed Trump over Pence voting for the war in Iraq, when Hillary did the same.  Stahl did a good job tonight!

The general election polls fluctuate a lot and seem to be too close for comfort, but if you look beyond Question #1 one question remains stable from poll to poll:

Why am I smiling?? It seems like the implosion has started...the RNC delegates might now know what it's like to "follow the rules" and still have "your vote, your voice..taken away". All this so far on the 1st day. Here come the "brown shirts".

My family and I are not seeing eye to eye in this election and it is incredibly uncomfortable.  Never the anger like this time, and I think I'm the one to blame.  I can't fathom voting for Trump and a couple of family members and I are at war right now.  Anyone else experiencing this?
