Again, I say that if PJ can declare a question is 'wrong' and not worth answering, I have a wide choice of things to request.
Like a Broadway show.
And a grande mocha frappe.
And a spacesuit.

It's actually a reference to a song in a Golden Age Broadway musical.
The first person who can tell me the song, the show and who sang it to whom (not character names, actor names) gets a hummer. From me.

I still don't think ignoring the question when it's kind of an important question is helpful. In fact, I'd say that, in and of itself, is counterproductive.
But this is the problem when an election is coming down to personality. Cause that's really what this is about. Personality. So the supporters on either side end up taking it...well...a little personally.

well as I always say--I consider BWW to be the green room. Whatever we debate in the green room stays there. Those of you I adored before this primary, I still adore. Those of you I loathed, I still loathe.
But a hummer can do much to alleviate loathing. Just saying.

But I really don't think we should continue to ask those questions that pit Democrat against Democrat. We should absolutely ignore those questions because they will only lead to more Democrat-against-Democrat pissing contests, with no one ever being right or wrong.
Let's instead focus on dismantling the unearned hold John McCain has over middle.
That IS harder work than in-fighting, but it's work that must be done, or Barack Obama's candidacy will suffer the same fate as John Kerry's and Al Gore's.
I am not the enemy. Tazber is not the enemy. Hillary is not the enemy. Democrats licking their wounds because Hillary is not the candidate are not the enemy.
The 527s are the enemy.

That's why a struck up a thread with the title "Why McCain Will Lose to the Dems".
I've moved past the Hillary-Obama Sagas.

Are you referring to the democratic candidate's debate with McCain, namaste?

From CNN Senior Political Analyst Bill Schneider
First Presbyterian Church in St. Albans, West Virginia.
(CNN) – The West Virginia exit polls have some sobering news for the Democratic Party.
As has been the case in previous states, a significant amount of both candidates' supporters said they aren't willing to vote for the other candidate in November.
Among Obama supporters, just 51 percent of West Virginia Democrats say they will vote for Clinton if she is the nominee. John McCain would get close to a third of Obama's supporters, and 14 percent said they wouldn't vote at all.
But an even smaller number of Clinton's supporters would back Obama: just 36 percent say that they would vote for the Illinois senator. About the same amount, 35 percent, say they would support McCain and 29 percent say they wouldn't vote or would vote for someone else.
Unity?

Final point spread 41 points: Clinton 67, Obama 26.
Clinton now leads in the popular vote, if you count Michigan and Florida.
Nu?

Posted: 5/14/08 at 10:24amI'll be the first to admit that there's no way Obama will carry WV in the general election. When 20% of white Democrats ADMIT to being racist, he doesn't stand a chance. His electoral map would look different from hers, so her 'swing' states are different from his. As for the Clinton campaign's contention that WV is critical to winning the general election, Missouri, which Obama won is in fact a better bellwether state. Such notable Dems as Dukakis, Humphrey, and Carter have won the WV primary and gone on to lose the general election by wide margins.

I feel bad for the remaining states. How do you think they feel knowing the Democrats don't really feel they matter or that their votes count at this point? Just wait til November.

Huh? That's a pretty convoluted spin.
More to the point: Every WINNING Democratic candidate since 1916 has won with West Virginia.
Every LOSING Democratic candidate has lost it.
McCain takes West Virginia.

Posted: 5/14/08 at 11:04amI agree that McCain will almost certainly take WV. However, I reject the inference that a Dem can't win the general election without it.

You guys sure are quick to jump to a lot of cynical conclusions! John McCain won WV yesterday with 76 % of the vote, that's 89,654 votes.
Barack Obama captured only 26% of the vote, only 26%, that's 91,663 votes.
The popular vote question is moot (that they broke the rules aside). There are more elections. He's likely to win another one and so is she. If we're going to wait until the very end, wait.
In Mississippi Democrat Travis Childers won an eight point victory in a district that went for Bush by 63% in 2004, part of a recent trend of upsets that has the Republicans very worried. Keep in mind that the Republicans spent over a million dollars trying to tie Childers to Obama and Reverend Wright to try to win this and still lost.
Obama's 50 state strategy is building the party in meaningful ways. We have the whole summer to get over our Clinton bitterness. I know what the polls say but polls are tricky things and I guarantee that once we have a nominee, things will be different.
