There's a review in the Times, but I'm afraid to read it.
Perhaps she'll OD quickly.
Why not just get Courtney Love, who is (surprisingly) a phenomenal actress.
The preview I saw on FB earlier showed Angela Bassett. Who was Lily Rabe in the first season? The ghost of the crazy doctor's wife?
The reviews I have scanned over haven't been scathing. The series has always been something for the fans though. I'll watch again this season for Lange, per usual.
I still think O'Hare's look is too much like the butler in Scary Movie 2
I thought the same exact thing!
This is definitely my favorite AHS premiere, though. Promising storylines, cool scares, tons of camp, great performances...really, really like it so far!
I really like it. It's a little light on the scares for me, especially compared to last year's premiere when Adam Levine's arm came off.
Also, it took me a minute to buy into Evan Peters, frat boy.
But it set up a good story!
I guess "scares" isn't a really appropriate word. More like "thrills." I agree it's not as scary as the last two premieres, but I appreciate the restraint.
But where's Patti?
With any hope, working with Jessica Lange this season taught Emma Roberts how to act.
Maybe she paid attention to Jessica when not thinking about beating on poor Evan
What's most upsetting about that brawl is that had it been the other way around, his career would have been destroyed.
Absolutely loved it. So far I'm much more interested in the LaLurie/historical storyline. I'm kind of bummed she's in the present now, I want to see more of old Nawlins.
East, I agree
I think we'll see much more of New Orleans past when they show how Angela Bassett is also in the present presumably. They need to show what it was like when the Salem witches first came to town as met the Voodoo priestesses
I hope Zoe can get more powers. Hers is so awkward.
Most importantly, is that it for Lily Rabe?

No. Her name wouldn't be in the main credits if it was. I assume someone has the power to raise the dead - Fiona, maybe.

I agree with that. They already tease what happens to Evan Peters' frat boy. I'm assuming Rabe will return the same way.. and they can not get around showing more of laLaurie's acts since the feud is a central theme, so we will see plenty more of old NOLA.
Bates, Bassett and Lange were coming full force. can't wait for LuPone to throw in.
Yes, ma'am. THAT was delicious. Kathy Bates as presumably the most evil character in the history of television is amazing and disturbing enough to validate the "Horror" in the shows title. If the show keeps up like this, it will definitely be the best season yet.
Such an awesome start. Just when I think they can't top the gruesome and delicious violence of the previous season, I am proven wrong. Kathy and the beast mask... This show knows how to do disturbing horror like no other.
When she would yell, there was just something so visceral about her. i truly adore Kathy Bates.
When one of the slaves asked her, "why are you doing this?", her simple reply of, "because I can" was so deliciously evil and chilling.
Was she brought back to life or never dead? I'm confused.
