Megan was definitely never going to win this competition, but I thought Anoop would leave tonight. Strange that another female contestant would leave when there are now two women left in a group of eight people. Next week should be Anoop, Matt or Scott.

kris and Danny are my favorites this season. They are the only ones i enjoy watching or listening too. That saves me money on Itunes lol, so I guess its good!!!
I really pray that Adam does not win the whole thing. I hate listening to him scream every song. he is a character singer at best!!

I have RSD...but it doesn't have me!!!!

I completely agree with you about Danny and Kris. What are the girls in the audience screaming about, when Adam sings? He screams and looks like K.D. Lang. With makeup!

Is it bad that the only thing I really cared about tonight was Cook? hehe.

REALLY loverly performance (as always), and OMG he's so friggin sweet and adorable!! Between the "not as much as I love you!" and the getting teary eyed (again!) over the Platinum plaque... gah. I just love that man way too much <3



But yeah, it was Megan's time, for SURE. She can't even really carry a tune.



OH and also the impressions that they all did of each other were absolutely priceless!! They're all hysterical (I legitimately cracked up way too loud when Anoop did Kris's swing-jaw thingy bahaha)

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Well we all obviously have different opinions, and obviously a few of you really like Danny. But I have never seen a bigger doofus in my life. He's a dork that dances like Taylor Hicks. He has an ok voice, but to me it needs to be a whole package. Would I buy his CD? Nope. Would I ever go see him in concert? No flipping way. JMO

I was pretty obvious that David Cook's performance was pre-recorded. There were stand-ins at the judges table.

I think she was wearing peices from Paula's jewelry line.

Look for them to use the save sometime in the next 3 weeks because once it gets down to the top 5 they can't use it anymore.

All the judge's save will do is delay the inevitable because the following week they will eliminate 2 people and the person they save could very well be the one to go.

Not sure if this has been brought up yet (I scanned through last night's comments) but do you think they were lip synching? They were last week for sure, when they were doing that weird motown pre-taped nonsense, but what do you think about this week? It sort of looked like they were....

Goodbye Megan. Next (hopefully) will be Scott. I'm sorry, but he is just not in the same category as everyone else. He's a great piano player, but it's not Piano Idol!!

THANK YOU! Yeah he has a pretty great voice, but I can't watch him perform. He's too awkward for me. There are plenty of people who have a great voice AND can move, so I don't think he's really anything special.

As for Megan, I wanted to punch her in the face last night. I completely agreed with Simon when he said that she was disrespecting the judges by saying "I don't care what you think." Megan consistently chose songs that were completely wrong for her and not once did she listen to the judges' advice. I'm glad that she's gone.

Well, Megan wasn't the best singer by a long shot, but I loved her look, her attitude and overall spirit. Her quirky dancing didn't bother me in the least because it was far more genuine than some of the self-indulgent antics going on with others...Adam. Unless something crazy happens, Anoop or Scott will likely be the next to go. Neither of them are delivering anything that stands out above the others.

And yeah, I think most of the Journey song was lip-synced, with the exception of some of the riffing. When Scott sang his solo lines, he was miles away from the microphone and the timing was way off.

And for me, Danny seems to be Danny in every song while Adam is constantly playing a character he has modeled off his perception of a "rock star". I never get the feeling his character is an extension of himself, but rather that it's a mask he wears to try and play the part. If that makes any sense. I guess I like Danny so much because he is incredibly talented, but he just goes on stage and performs as Danny (I get the same vibe from Allison). But every time Adam goes up, I feel like I'm looking at an amalgam of performers he mimics.

They were totally lipsyncing last night. It was released last week that they have been lipsyncing the group performances the whole time this season because they don't have time to do the balancing for the mics.

Scott McIntyre pretty much made it pretty obvious last night as he was about a mile away from his mic on his solo line. Not to mention the fact that Allison and Danny have never sounded so effortless as they did last night in the group number. They both usually sound like they are about to pop a vocal chord.

I think Danny and Adam are both very talented people, both in their own different ways. The thing I like about Adam is that he gets up there every time and does something different...whether it's an act or not, it's different than the usual 'belting out a ballad' or whatever.

Either way, I like where this competition is going! Although Scott needs to go home. I fear that if he somehow pulls the lowest amount of votes, the judges will use that damn save on him.

I applauded Megan for that. She said herself that she never expected to get on the show in the first place and she wanted to do it her way. I don't think she ever believed she would win or that the judges would agree that her way was the best, but she stayed true to herself. She said she didn't care about Simon's obnoxious and rude comment. For him to call her disrespectful is nothing but hypocrisy. He disrespects every contestant when he decides judging should not be about the comments or the performers, but about his chance to tease Paula about EVERY LITTLE THING SHE SAYS. If I were Megan, I probably would have said the same thing, if not something worse. Especially if I knew I was going home. Her saying that only made me love her more.

The "save" is the stupidest idea AI had ever come up with.
I'm so glad Megan went home.
Danny and Adam are safely in the top 3. They'd have to really mess up to land in the bottom 2 anytime soon, and I dont see either doing that.
I'm worried that Allison is in real danger and the judges might use the save on her, but she'd be out the following week. I dont understand why she isnt gettting votes.

Doodle, I don't understand about Allison either. I think she's truly amazing! I forget which judge told her that her voice was a gift from God, but that statement is spot on.
