WHERE THE EFF ARE THESE DANNY FANS COMING FROM!?!! I do not get it!! WHY is he getting so many votes!?!!
I think kover22 perfectly illustrates your answer. She may be a minority in these parts, but unfortunately there are more people with bad taste than not.

Posted: 5/6/09 at 10:52pmY'know... I honestly don't care anymore now that Allison is gone. I'm completely unenthused about the remaining three.

"Is anyone truly surprised?"
I was a little surprised, Matt. I didn't think they'd give Allison the boot tonight.

Hells, you need to listen to the Daughtry song more than once.
I adore them. I think the new song is fantastic, as do most of the reviews I've read.
I'm not happy that allison is gone, but I'm not surprised that much. TPTB have been pushing for an Adam/Danny finale from the beginning.

Danny is awful! Whatever!
Stockard, Chris was at a Bears playoff game a few years ago for the anthem. Very nice job!

I love the new Daughtry single <3
Still flipping angry about tonight though. BOO
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2032
Posted: 5/7/09 at 12:35amDanny should of went home. I still have nightmares of the horrible high note.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2033
Posted: 5/7/09 at 7:54amYeah, Danny should have gone home. Grrrrr................
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2034
Posted: 5/7/09 at 9:25amI knew the producers were going to do one of their "shock" eliminations, so this isn't much of a surprise. Rather, I'm disappointed because it would have been a lot more fun if Allison and Adam were going to the finals. You know for a fact that if it's Adam and Kris or Adam and Danny that the latter will stand no chance. I don't even know why we have to wait another week or so for the finals. Just hand the American Idol title over to Adam and be done with it.

I can't stand the idea of a Danny-Kris final two. That would be beyond boring.
I think Danny is going to win. But unless he records a Contemorary Christian cd, he will be another Tayor Hicks.
..and can you imagine a Kris-Adam final two? That would be a slaughter.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2036
Posted: 5/7/09 at 10:44amI like Daughtry, but I have to admit, I found that song rather dull and unmemorable. I enjoyed Paula's performance. For her age, she really worked it out and showed Britney how it's done. That was loads of fun.

I'm really not that shocked about Allison going home. She's great, but never scored well with the public, for whatever reason. Danny sucked the big one last night, but I wasn't surprised he stayed. He's got major support!
But, I definitely don't think that Allison going home was one of those "shocking eliminations"...to be honest, the top four/five were super talented, and its hard to pick the faves or who is gonna go home when everyone rocks.

I couldn't wait for the results show so I jumped online early to find out who get the boot. When I found out she was going home and that Adam was safe, I didn't even tune in. Did Gokey say anything about what an ass he was after his horrendous last note? Did they mention it or completely ignore it and continue to give his A's for effort?
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2039
Posted: 5/7/09 at 12:07pmI wouldn't call it a "shock" elimination either. She was in the bottom 3 more than once.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2040
Posted: 5/7/09 at 12:18pmI agree Stock. The shock for me lies in the fact that she was in the bottom so much.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2041
Posted: 5/7/09 at 12:24pmIf Adam weren't so brilliant, there'd be no reason left to watch AI. Allison was the only other one with any star power, and in their duet she proved herself to be the only one who can share a stage with Adam.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#2042
Posted: 5/7/09 at 12:33pmEVIE, they did bring up the scream. Danny was pretty funny about it. He said he and his family kept watching it and couldn't stop laughing. He agreed it was like a scream in a horror movie and that it was awful. I'm not a big fan of Danny but I loved the way he handled that!

I really hope Adam and Allison do that duet on tour.
I downloaded it from i-tunes this morning! And Adam's song!

I'll be downloading too!
The duet was totally kickass...and they should DEFINITELY do it on tour!

Per Allison, they definitely intend to!

Paula was pathetic. She didn't even bother trying to hide the fact that she was lip synching.
Gwen Stefani, on the other hand, proved it's possible to run, jump, do pushups, and still sing live.

Perhaps I should retract my statement on shock elimination, seeing as how I didn't follow AI closely this year and also because last night I was half asleep.
Gwen Stefani, on the other hand, proved it's possible to run, jump, do pushups, and still sing live.
Her performance was one of the few things I actually remembered from last night.

Isn't Paula at least 25 years older than Gwen Stefani?
Not that I was impressed by her performance, but there is a big difference in age and therefore, stamina.
