I acknowledge that there are OTHERS who find the female body a beautiful and desirable thing.
I think that's plenty good enough. I am not telling you that YOU need to be repulsed by it. If you love it, more power. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may...go forth and conquer. I, in fact, LOVE that you love it. I embrace it. I celebrate it. Had I the time, I would throw a petite soirée in its honor.
However, one would hope that the same courtesy would be extended in return. I don't need to be told that there is something wrong with me because I *don't* find the female body a beautiful and desirable thing. THAT is offensive.

I know a lot of straight women who are turned off the male anatomy as well. I don't know if being turned off by sexual organs is indicative of some kind of prejudice against a sex.

Let me clarify... I have NO problem with a woman's naked body. None. I can see it, I can touch it. It's beautiful. However, it *does* nothing for me. The fact that I do not find the female anatomy sexually attractive is not 'my problem' or anyone's problem. It's just who I am and what I like.
And isn't feeling something and not voicing it a bit against what the point of this discussion is all about? I mean... we're having a discussion, an open forum, if you will. They're only opinions.

I don't think anyone has said that, and that certainly wasn't my implication. You're the one who seems to be implying that if you don't find something desirable you must find it repulsive.

I must confess to a long-standing adoration of that tradtionally despised bastard stepchild of cabbages, the Brussels sprout.
Does this mean I need psychological evaluation?
Anyway, aren't we supposed to be talking about why we hate bisexual people and how they're all going to end up alone and unloved?
(I shall remove the pleasure of seeing the sardonic humor in that statement for those of you who DO see the humor by disclaiming that IT WAS SARCASTIC and not meant as a literal expression of my views on the subject.)

no one in this thread questioned any of you saying that you don't find women attractive. though the sudden need for many of you to spell that out was peculiar.
what was questioned was the harsh phrasing.
so sorry that you boys have become the victims. guess romantico's 15 min are up.

Posted: 9/5/06 at 2:55pmJaily, you did not use the words "I *don't* find the female body a beautiful and desirable thing." originally. What you said was that you had an "extreme revulsion of women". That to me is a misogynistic attitude that reveals all too much about your real feelings, sexual or not.

so, jerby, you just have a problem with the verbage, right? (not the lack of attraction)
edit: kewl beans. you answered my question already.

I am not implying that AT ALL, Kringas. I am saying that I, personally, find the vagina repulsive. I am not saying that if you don't love it, you must hate it. I don't personally give a rat's furry behind WHAT you people like...I am simply saying that *I* have less than no interest in it; which is why I will never understand bisexuality on any level but a purely intellectual one. I know it is out there, it's preposterous to think that it isn't. I simply have no idea what it must be like.

Posted: 9/5/06 at 2:58pmIt was Sueleen's "warm hole" implication that started everyone's reactions, Jerby. I can't stick it in where it doesnt want to go, sorry Sueleen.

Personally, as a woman, I do not see him finding a portion of my anatomy repulsive a form of misogyny. A repulsion of any part of my body is not a statement of hatred of me as a person or a woman.
And, frankly, I don't see why this is even OF discussion. Notice how there are no women even involved here, the individuals who should be "offended" by this statement? The fact that a gay man is repulsed by my woman-parts is neither here nor there. I am not sleeping with him, I never will be sleeping with him, he will never be anywhere near mine or any other woman's vagina, so I am failing to see how repulsion of my anatomy should be even vaguely offensive.

I also took care to clarify that I meant sexually speaking. I do not find women repulsive as people.
What I suppose I SHOULD have said is "I find the idea of sexual relations with a female repulsive."
Women, I adore. It's their hoo-hoos I've no truck with.
Except yours, Colleen. Your hoo-hoo is the Cartier of hoo-hoos.

I'm a female, and I didn't read any misogyny in Jaily's post.
What he actually said was "...part of it may be my extreme revulsion of women (sexually speaking)". You left out the "sexually speaking" and that makes a big difference. Are there female figures in his life he loves and admires? Does he have friendships with women? Does he treat women with respect? In my opinion, those are the important questions. If he shudders at the thought of getting up close and personal with a jujuflower (TM Jaily), big deal. To each their own.

it's in poor taste and plenty of women (on bww even) have made that clear.
I find it offensive because it sounds as tasteful as 'I find black d***s repulsive.'
I knew exactly what jaily meant.

what if it is a black man that finds a "black dick repulsive" ?
it's just one person's opinion.
edit: you can say dick but not dicks?

Heh. I was going to pose the same question from the other perspective (unfortunately, we've gone WAY off topic here).
but I know guys of all races who find their own race completely undesirable. Is that some kind of racism/prejudice/phobia?
I don't really get where a lack of sexual attraction for someone should automatically equate racism/prejudice.
