When "Ragtime" had its American Premiere in Los Angeles, he was the little boy (with Brian Stokes Mitchell, LaChanze, John Rubenstein, Judy Kaye, Marcia Mitzman Gavin, etc.).
He was fantastic in the part. His understudy went on to do the Broadway show (I'm told) because Blake and/or his family didn't want to move to NY for the run.

I just think he has a lot of talent and it's being wasted on a bar when he should be on a New York stage singing his heart out.

Yes it can be very good money. I don't know what it like in the US but here you can tip some of the best dancers by slipping a lubed up roll of coins up their backsides. Usually they will only take toonies, so that's $50 in a roll.
