Mrs Brd is flat out on the couch with influenza. Sick as a dog.

Kids are all back to school. I will really miss C18 and C20 - incredible young women - I am so blessed to have two smart, funny and loyal daughters!

45 degrees here today, last week -15 - 60 degrees difference!

Afternoon Adults.

One good thing I can say - the weather here is beautiful.

Helluva weekend. And probably the next few weeks to come, but what is life without a few challenges.

I hope all have a great week. I missed the GG, alas, but I heard that it was relatively entertaining for an awards show. I don't watch Revenge, but do get a kick out of the reactions of all of those who do!

Back to work, then off to the hospital.

If any of you are planning to come to the tennis this week, I have some advice. Bring as much ice, snow and any frozen concoction that you can carry. The temperatures are a little on the warm side. It'll be about 107 today and similar for tomorrow, the next day and the next. Ugh! And don't forget the sunscreen.

Peeps, please read the article I posted on Human trafficking. My church is heavily involved in this right now, especially since the Superbowl is in NJ this year. It seems the trafficking gets worse around events like this. If we all know the signs to look for we could help a fellow human being. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for joining in this crusade.

Happy Deet Day!

Boobs, I'll read the article. Horrifying to know that it still happens... thanks for bringing attention to it.

We have a little concert/performance this evening with the Chorale to celebrate Ted Sperling's new role as Artistic Director of the Chorale. We're performing 4 pieces which represent future concerts. Just an informal gathering of wine, cheese and music. Should be fun! (We haven't had too many rehearsals, so it's not a formal, polished performance. Just an introduction to 'things to come')

'Morning!

Hep - I can't even remember what 106 feels like these days, it's been so cold here. Sounds brutal!

Boobs - we've been introducing our students to human trafficking issues this year. The Sisters (our sponsoring congregation) are focusing on female slavery this year and our teenage girls have no idea what their fellow young women are going through around the world.

Starbucks gave me a free weapon! How lovely.

I'm not sure the workmen are going to be too happy with me. They grouted one side of the backsplash and it's too dark. The tile all needs to be taken down, replaced and re-grouted with a lighter grout. I'll definitely be bringing the Crumbs today! Happy Birthday to me!

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Boobs - I will def take a read. I watched a special on it last year and it is truly horrifying.

Otherwise - not much to report. Woke up thinking it was thursday and now can't shake the disappointment. But on good news, close friends of mine had a baby girl this morning, so yay! and my Mr. Perfect is seconds away from a full crawl. Right now he just shakes his butt a lot and scoots backwards. (and yes if you told me 6 months ago I would be this fascinated by an infant I'd tell ya you were nuts lol) :)

I had a similar issue with grout. They had to re-do the floor grout in my kitchen. And I switched the grout, as a result, on the tile in my master bath and the kitchen backsplash. Hope they're able to make the correction quickly!
In the meantime, enjoy the Crumbs and the Starbucks and your day!

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! No, no, Mr. perfect is Levi my friend's baby that rules my heart. The boyfriend - we don't have a nickname for him yet. Wouldn't be Mr Perfect though, too much pressure, haha. Today is 2 months though. scary.
