Okay. Got it. Now I can keep one at work. I don't need the car charger, since I have a USB port in the car, if need be can just use the one I keep at home, but I don't anticipate needing to do that.

Well baby boobs said he didn't need one, but big boobs said he was actually looking to purchase one. I ordered him 2, so he can keep one in his travel bag. I got him both with the car charges being they weren't that much more. He wanted it in red which was $5.99 and I got him the other one in my favorite color which was only $4.99. You just can't beat these prices!

Boobs, are you sure you can charge your iPad with an iPhone charger? The guys at the Apple Store said never to interchange the chargers, and this was backed up by my genius tech nerd student.

Deet, you shouldn't interchange the chargers. But, I believe you can use a USB cable to charge both. The downside is that it will be slower charging.

Some iPhone chargers don't work with the iPad (and some laptops cannot be used to charge the iPad).

I know I have some cords that work with both, and others that do no (4S iPhone and 3Gen iPad).

I think all of the iPad cords are backwards compatible (at least for me), but not all of the iPhone cords.
