I had a lovely birthday - thank you all for the nice messages! It was just so nice to spend time outside. I had every window open, airing out the winter air. My family was with me in the city. We had a wonderful time. And lots of cheese...

Well, when one reaches out to someone in an attempt at reconciliation, and the response you get back is:

"I am willing to meet you halfway if you are willing to admit you behaved like a c*nt and a spoiled c*nt at that having a hissy fit"

one gets the impression that a reconciliation is impossible, and no longer even desirable.

Just sent off the taxes. Owed the Fed a lot, thanks to a withholding error on Hubby's part (won't happen again!) but only owed Maryland $23.

We adjusted witholding for the partners which led to reduced refund but at least not a large Fed liability. State - about 500.

Y, the old man is "of counsel" as of today. We worked out an agreement that satisfied all. He is still in denial - just absolutely bizarre. His kids are losers that literally treat him like he is a father in his 40's.

Two are financially independent. The oldest who is probably 62 is a loser. Yesterday at 3:30 - HE was working on her taxes! And, she apparently has a significant IRS problems. He has no business working on any IRS issue. Oh, well! At least that is no longer our problem.
