Morning!
All offices here are closed today through Monday, but I find that to be the perfect time to get work done. No phones ringing, no one at the door, no whining teens or even whinier adults to interrupt me. Now if we just had the heat on in the building, all would be well!

Travers Llewellyn has gone completely off the deep end. Any remote grasp he ever had on reality is completely severed, and all I can do now is laugh at the ridiculousness of that sad, petty little man. I'm beginning to believe he may be a certain contrary poster on the main board, he's that insane.

That sucks! Spring Break and we had 6 teens over for the night! C20 at office to answer phones with BF in tow. Trying to give them little tasks to stay busy.
The irony of this might not be appreciates, but I am going to service this afternoon and I will sit with the congregation and Mrs Brd will be in the choir loft singing!

Morning peeps! Hep I want those bunnies!
I hope everyone had a nice Easter. Our little stone Church was packed for service. So funny how most Sundays there are about 15 - 20 of us, but Easter Sunday they all come out. I served as usher for the first time being the guy who was supposed to usher was ill. Luckily I had Valerie to usher with. She's as old as dirt and knows a thing or two about ushering. I call her the usher Nazi. Things MUST be done her way. Even what hand you hold the wine and water. I made 2 Ricotta rice pies (an Italian Easter sweet pie), for coffee hour. Both went in a flash. Luckily Greg saved me a piece being I had to count the money and envelopes with the usher Nazi after service.

There's something very...ecumenical....about celebrating Easter with an usher nazi.
We had wonderful services during the 3 days as well. SRO every day.
Can't believe we had a Hep holiday fly-by, followed by the cow servers. Wish I had poked my head in here last night!
Morning. Happy Monday. My holiday was a little rough but nice. Went to Mr. Happy's Aunt's house and met more family. Not shocking, the sweetest people. He ran his first Tough Mudder on Saturday and it took a toll on him, so I was in charge of changing the ice bags all night for his knees lol, and then he was moving very slowly yesterday (though note - the new (or new to me) icyhot Sleeves for knees and elbows, pretty awesome).
After church as HC worked on some online class he's taking I watched the 25th Anniversary concert of Les Miz. As the 4 Jean Val Jean's sang "Bring Him Home" at the end I balled my eyes out! Sometimes you need a good cry. Being our shows weren't on last night we watched 2 more episodes of SCANDAL Season 2. Only 5 more episodes to go and then on to this past season.
Had a nice, relaxing weekend and extra day off. Worked out every day, did an urban hike to the Baldwin Hills Overlook (which starting point is a bit more than a mile away) - they built stairs and a trail into some local hills/mountains, and when you get to the top, you have this amazing view of the L.A. Basin. Then, went to a good friends Easter/Belated Birthday Party for her twin boys. They were born on December 28th, but in order to make sure the day does not get lost, they actually celebrate it at Easter.
I hope all Framily had a great weekend!

MT - I had never heard of a tough mudder until yesterday! Two of our friends are doing it in a few weeks.
Great weekend - so tired - lovely Easter gathering with 5 of our favorite couples and all of their kids.
Practiced for two hours on Saturday and two services yesterday - voice held up! Organ got stuck in first hymn for first service and was out for the rest of Easter!
C16 on break this week!

Girly, aren't we lucky we got to see some extraordinary talent, in their prime, at prices that didn't break the bank!?!
Also, Travers Llewellyn is the new name for BritTwit, based on the very difficult P.L. Travers.
And "Chapter One: I was hatched..." is a riff on the opening line of "David Copperfield "I was born..."
And I'm referring to the novel by Charles Dickens, not the magician, who I got to see for a mere $25 many years ago...
See how I did that!?!
